I get a recurring F1 beep even after I press "cancel" I worked with the oven for about 2 hours trying various combos of opening the oven, pressing cancel and trying to perform various functions (light, clean, bake, broil, etc.) to no avail. I got it to stop for about an hour at one point, but it started right back up again. It also seems that every now and then the oven light will come on all by itself during one fo these alerts

The manual says error code "F1" means a problem occurred in the circuitry and suggests pressing "CLEAR" to reset it. If the problem persists, contact a repair guy.

"This oven is equipped with a state of the art electronic oven control. Among its
many features is a full time oven circuit diagnostics system. The control constantly
monitors its internal circuitry as well as several crucial oven circuits to insure they
are all operating correctly. If at any time one of these systems fails, the control will
immediately stop operation, and beep continuously (flashing an error code of F1,
F3 or F9 in the display window, if equipped). Electronic control has detected a fault
condition. Press CLEAR to clear the display and stop the beeping. Reprogram
oven. If fault recurs, record fault number, press CLEAR and contact an
Hello,F1 means Stuck touch pad. Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be canceled, replace the oven control(also called clock or ERC),touch pad,or both.
HI. This is a basic communication issue that will concern, either the control board, or touch/Key pad assembly. Normally, this will produce a stuck key, which will cause one of the power relays to become suspended.
Determine if The problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:
1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad. 2. Disconnecting the key pad Ribbon Cable from control(main), and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs
If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.
If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.
NOTE_ Some models incorporate the touch/Key pad into the ERC as a single assembly(Whole device), in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).
-F1- Alarm “System Watchdog Circuit” The system will detect a failure in the internal watchdog element relay circuits and will activate a cancel feature. F1 will be displayed in the time digits and will beep until the cancel button or another function is selected. An F1 failure could be detected in cook or time of day mode. With an F1 failure the ERC is picking up a command to supply heat without receiving an input from the membrane. The watch dog circuit is designed to prevent this. If the beep continues after pressing cancel check the main control (ERC) Dacor
The oven had been cleaned earlier in the day and the touch pad ribbon connector was shorting. I cleaned it with rubbing alchohol and blow dried the whole board for good measure. Hooked everything back up and haven't had a problem since.
