i have just installed a plug & play webcam "microsoft lifecam vx-500" on to my vista application computer. however, i am unable to find the web-cam icon (which would have appear on lower version application on the desk top. pls help

thanks for offering your help. i'm afraid i am still unable to find the web-cam file program. did i do something wrong?, although the salesman said it's plug and play.
Go to hard disk C: and open "Programme file", after try to find the webcam file programme it's well be probably the same name of the cam.
if you find it creat a chrtcute to the desktop of the programme.

some time with windows vista we can't slove the probleme, so try this solution:

I have a microsoft lifecam vx 3000 and when I am speaking into the microphone there is a background noise (crackling) that overpowers the speaking. I am trying to use the microphone to record online but all that plays back from the recording is a crackling sound. How can I fix that?
