Depending on your digital camera, certain ones do require more power to run than others. If you think yours is especially subject to draining batteries too soon, try doing an internet search for your model and include "battery drain" in your search words as well. If you can't find others with your particular problem, you may have a defective camera. The other possibility is not using a large enough capacity battery for extended use. Contrary to popular belief, if you are using rechargeable batteries, the standard high capacity AA batteries such as 2800mah will not last as long while sitting in the camera as those around 2100mAh when the camera is off. This has to do with a parameter called internal resistance. The 2800's will last longer if being used right away. Newer formulations such as the Sanyo Eneloop batteries are rated around 2000mAh and will last for months if left sitting in the camera when off.
You may want to consider using lithium type batteries if you don't use rechargeables. They are more expensive but last longer in high drain situations.
Also, check to see what the Sleep Mode or Auto Power Off setting is. If this is set to a long period of time, this will drain your batteries trying to power the camera while it is idle between shots.

Most digital camera's drain batteries quickly due to the power required to operate them. You need to carry spares if you are going to use them a lot. You can consider using rechargeable batteries if your useage justifies this i.e how quickly would you recover the cost of buying the charger against the cost of replacement batteries. Otherwise is just something to live with.

Most digital devices can be restet by removing the battery and then powering it back on; but read the manual as that may cause you to lose your pictures depending on the device you have.

Can not turn the camara on

Digital cameras drain lots of power for a short period. The best batteries for digital camera are rechargable types. It is either you are using normal alkaline batteries which are easily drained or your rechrgable batteries are not properly charged. Try solving either of these two problems.
