Question about HP OfficeJet D135 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have 2 of the expensive units and both show same error. I picked up the D145xi used to try and fix the D135. If I swap the auto doc feeder from one to the other I get same result. Home office use with about 2000 pages used in total. HP support has been no help. I actually had next day replacement and used it twice (they send refurbs) and then stupidly let it lapse accidentally just before the most recent failure. I have cleaned and inspected every inch and see no jam anywhere. The fax receiving still works and I can print but no feeding into the ADF and no copy from direct on glass.
Is there a micro-switch that reports the error that can be replaced or cleaned? I did like the unit
I went and purchased a C6180 AIO and a C6280. The 6280 does not fax but both use same carts and print fast. The others are boat anchors as far as I am concerned. Epson is no better as I didn't use it for 2-3 weeks and the heads fried up and cannot be fixed. JUNK JUNK JUNK, it's all throw-away technology at a high price.
First thing if its an ongoing issue you have the right to call hp and make them replace the machine even though the warrenty lapsed as it happened while you were facing an ongoing issue. they do not make these machines anymore so i am surprised that you got refurbs of this. ask them to give you an upgrade.
also if a replacement is made it extends the warrenty by 3 months.
call them up and be firm is my advice.
Now i would recommend you buying a laserjet multifunctuion machine. those babies are a bit expensive but are value for money when it comes to print per page value as well as ease of use and maintanence. take my word you will love it.
Messing around with inkjets would just get you more aggrevated: they are only useful for small office or home uses with minimum useage.
