Question about Motorola Mobility V551

Phone will not power on

The silver casing on the front of my phone is broken and seemed to cause no problem with the normal functions. I tried to turn my phone on one day and it just quit working. The lights on the keypad will come on when I hold down the power, or disconnect button, but after that NOTHING!!!! I have insurance on the phone, but I need to get my numbers saved to my sim card!!!!! The phone will do nothing except light the keypad when turned on, the keypad lights will not come on when i press a number. No lights go off when I close the phone either. Please help. I don't want to lose all of my numbers and if I send it in and use my insurance they're gone for good!!! Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Charlene

Replace the "Flex Cable". Motorolla phones have a common problem with their "flex cable" going bad in their phones after a certain period of time. I had the same problem on my V551. Keypad would light on, sound coming intermittently after pressing keys but the screen would not light up. After replacing the flex cable, everything was back to normal. Go to your local flea market and look for a store that sells and repairs cell phones. Either ask them to replace it for you or just buy a used flex cable from them. I had mine repaired for $30 including the used part.

First try and check your battery and see if the voltage is still ok, if your voltage reads below 3v then its your battery, you need to rejuvenate it to its original voltage. Try a friends battery if its the same and see if your phone turns on. Good Luck

Did you store all you memories in the phone memory and not on the SIM? If you're not sure take the SIM out and put it in another phone. A lab that specializes in cell phones could probably rescue the memory, but it won't be covered by the insurance. You could ask them to limit the work to just rescuing the memory, and have the rest of the job done by sending it in on the insurance, but it might be that in order for them to get to the memory, they will have to repair it anyway. Can't you contact your provider and try to make sure that they rescue you memory as part of the repair? it's not that unreasonable... Good luck

Have an indicator fault - checked bulb and this seems fine

Hi, Anonymous before diagnosing any turn signal/running light/parking light issue make sure the bulb is good and the light fuse has continuity with a test light. If you have replaced you OEM lights with LED lights you are going to need a load equalizer. If no turn signals work the cause could be a faulty turn signal module or the connector going to it, look for corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets. Contact spray cleaner is great for removing corrosion. If your speedometer does not function properly it will have to be fixed first because your turn signal module gets the data from the speedometer for normal turn signal function. If your front turn signals don't work use a test light to check for power and ground at the bulb socket, then start backtracking the wiring through every wire connector to the turn signal switch/button and check for continuity, go all the way back to the fuse if necessary to find the cause of the malfunction. If your rear turn signals don't work check your rear fender wiring harness connector first for corroded, broken, loose pins/sockets, power, and a good ground, (the harness connector is usually located under the seat on the front of the rear fender) then keep tracing the wiring look for obvious harness damage caused by the rear tire. If you still can't find the malfunction backtrack from the rear fender wiring harness connector. If one side does not work you could have a faulty turn signal switch or module check for continuity. My nokia c5-03 is fell down now 4 black lines occurs in my display wt is d solution sir.

Broken front panel

Take a deep breath and see if your iPhone will turn on and operate normally. In most cases, the iPhone is still functional but now a cosmetic disaster. Unfortunately, the iPhone 4S' front glass and LCD are fused together and must be replaced as one piece.

Broken rear panel

Apple did not grace the rear panel of the iPhone 4S with the same high-strength glass as the front, so fractures are much easier to come by on the backside. If your rear panel is smashed, you must replace it with a new one. Before attempting this repair, though, make sure you have the correct screwdriver.

God bless you

Monitor revives only after cycling the power many times

Unscrew 4 screws on the back side. Place the monitor with the front up and open it along the upper seam. Turn it again and lift the back cover. Shift the inner case "up" and take the button holding plate out - it is being held only by a tape. Inspect it and clean it. You might have to replace the condensers and/or switches on it.

This might solve the problem, but there may be other causes as well.

Good luck!
