How do I bypass my Honeywell D896 vent dampner?

The furnace was probably originally equiped with a damper bypass plug that was removed to install the vent damper. Of course some were hardwired in as an accessory. But look inside the furnace vestibule or in the homeowner instruction envelop and see if the original installed tossed the plug in there during installation. That would be GREAT !!!!

Without the wiring diagram of the furnace AND the vent damper, I cannot give you specific input on the wiring. But the damper has to have 24v to operate it and there has to be a switch circuit for making and breaking the gas valve control circuit.

You may have to call a service company to get your issue safely resolved.

How do you install circuit board in atwood furnace 8525? do I need to disassemble most of the furnace to do this?

I am not familiar with the model number. I have worked on all types of equipment and have never seen a system that required major dis-assembly to replace a board. What does it look like from the outside? Up flow furnace, through the wall with a split condenser, horivontal residential? Tell me what you can and l"ll probably be able to tell you exactly where and how. Thanks for trying Fixya.

On my therostat it show and talks about the R wire and the Rc wire. What is the differet?

If you would have a two transformer system..... The power wire from the furnace transformer would hook up on R and the power wire from the Air Conditioner transformer would hook up to Rc....

BUT most systems now only have one transformer...... So if you are using this thermostat you will need to put a jumper wire from R to Rc. So the Air Conditioner will work. Furnace is the source of the transformer. R/Rc,W,Y, C, on the Thermostat will Hook up to R,W, Y,C on the furnace and Two wire from the Air Conditioner would hook up on Y and C on the furnace.....Good Luck.

How do you change oil gun in furnace to natural gaswe want to go to natual gas and don't know how to change the gun over

You will need to call a professional to size the right orifice, inducer, and primary air intake for your application. If it is a residential unit you probably won't have much luck finding a conversion. Your best solution is replacing it with a gas furnace.

My honey well thermostat keep clicking and I can't program it

If you have a programmable thermostat and it is a couple of years old you will probably have to install a new one. What kind of thermostat do you have? You can turn power off to furnace and then take thermostat off wall and take wires marked r & w and connect them together your heat should come on when you turn power back on. If not you could have blown the 5 amp fuse inside furnace. I would check the fuse inside of furnace. If you take panels off front of furnace you should find a controll board inside that runs furnace. If you have anymore question just reply back to me
