Question about Canon PIXMA MP210 Photo All-In-One Printer

1 Answer

Printer cartridge installation

My canon pixma mp210 was working fine. One day recently I received an error code 5 for improper installation of printer cartridges. I have taken them out and put back in 1000 times shut it off, unhooked the usb cord all to no avail. I know my ink is somewhat full so I hate to go buy two new cartridges because they are expensive. I don't know what else to do.

I installed the drivers for a canon pixma mp210 and it wont scan. it keeps saying " E 1 6"

"E 1 6" error code means Ink has run out.

Replace the ink cartridge and close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover).

If printing is in progress and you want to continue printing, press the Stop/Reset button for at least 5 seconds with the ink cartridge installed. Then printing can continue under the ink out condition.

The function for detecting the remaining ink level will be disabled.

Replace the empty ink cartridge immediately after the printing. The resulting print quality is not satisfactory, if printing is continued under the ink out condition.

Error code E6 after I inserted a remanufactured black (pg30) ink cartridge. Continues after removing cartridge and turning machine off

You could try to press the stop/reset button for at least 5 seconds.
If this does not work, remove both ink cartridges, close cover, turn off printer
Unplug printer, wait at least 20 minutes, plug printer back in.
Wait until printer stop cycling, install ink cartridges.
If there is still an error, the cartridge maybe bad.

What is error e5 in mp 198 printer

E5 - The ink cartridges are not installed or a non-supported ink cartridge is installed , or the ink cartridges are not installed properly..

  • In certain models of Canon Pixma printers such as the Canon MP160 and Canon MP150, you may receive an E5 error when trying to print. In this state, you will not be able to use any of the functions of your printer. The error itself is an ink cartridge error. It may be that you are using generic or off-brand ink cartridges in your Canon Pixma printer. Canon Pixma printers do not work with other brands of print cartridges; invest in Canon brand ink cartridges and this should take care of your problem.

I just installed a new CL41 Color ink cartridge into my Canon Pixma mp210, and it does not recognize it. It keeps saying the printer is empty, or displaying Error Code E5. ANother thing is when I go to see...

maybe it have the ink level chip which can be resetted by removing the cartridge and oning and offing the printer for 5 times within 10 minutes coz it saves data of a cartridge upto 5 use before only.. and 6th time insert it.

Good day sir, E5 indicates that the electrics/fuse wire has burnt out in one of your cartridges. Replace appropriate cartridge.

    Error 5 MP210 canon

Error 5 means a problem with the ink cartridges. Try re-seating the cartridges, ensuring the cartridges are compatible with the printer. If this doesn't work, sadly the only solution is to get new ink cartridges. Ink cartridges have a limited life span, and yours may have reached their end.

Printer will not print. New cartridges have been installed. Window showing the number 5 and the letter E. The printer is Canon MP210

E, 5 is a code that definitely indicates something wrong with the ink cartridges. Either improperly installed, not seated properly or wrong cartridge (not supported). One black and one color cartridge must be installed for the printer to function.

What does e 5 mean in my canon mp210 and how can i fix it

The FINE Cartridge may not be installed properly, or the Cartridge may not be compatible with this machine. This usually happens when you use an aftermarket or refilled cartridge. To clear the problem, open the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover) and install the appropriate OEM FINE Cartridge or a better aftermarket cartridge. You might try ldproducts.com for replacement cartridges.
If the error is not resolved, the Print Head may be damaged and you should contact an authorized Canon service shop..
