Just bought a singing machine ism 1028 Karaoke Vision from Costco. It was a floor model and when We turned it on it only shows to flashing bars in the CD area. Won't play demo CD. Nothing else seems to come on either. I have tried to look for manual on line and am unable to find one. Not sure if i have hooked it up right or if I have all the parts. Help please.

Same Problem: CD flashes 'door', but will NOT play CD

What do you mean by not ANY CD? Does it mean that you can play some CDs while others can't? If it can't play any CD at all, it might be that the sensor for the CD tray is not working. It is not recommended to change the sensor yourself. Since you have contacted the service department of the player, give them 2-3 working days to get back to you.

The CD player no longer spins on the Singing Machine Model Model SMG 200

Try removing the 4 screws mounting the circuit board that is located directly under the CD player.
I left the board hanging free and the unit works fine now.
Good luck.

Purchased JM258 Karaoke machine and led displays E when trying to play CD

The lid of the CD player was loose resulting in the CD not being able to play. If I hold the lid closed or place a book on it it will play. Needless to say, I will be exchanging it for one that works properly.
