I have worcester combi boiler 24CDI RSF, the boiler will not ignite, for the hot water or the central heating, it was working ok, and the red water light is flashing

i think the fan may be stuck. you will need to gain access to the internals of the boiler so a gas safe engineer will need to be employed to do it. if it is the fan, a simple squirt of lubricant will free it and give you anything from a week to a year of trouble free operation but! you will need to get a new fan. Fit a new one as soon as you can as they tend to go at the worst possible time if you dont

Many boilers seem to use a more or less common type of thermister although actual fixings vary. My experience of one of these from another brand of boiler was 670 ohms at 10 deg C and 10 -11 k ohms at 20 deg C

I have a BAXI combi Instant 105 HE bolier. It has been very cold for the past week and the hot water is not working (though the heating is). I have cleared the overflow flu pipe of ice but this has not solved the problem. Any suggestions?

I have a twenty year old worcester combi boiler with pilot light failure. It relights following instructions and is fine for a week or so then problem arises again, only this time it won't relight at all....

If you are lucky it may just be a worn out thermocouple or maybe a choked pilot jet or the gas valve may have gone faulty and require replacement, if you haven't had the boiler serviced on a regular yearly basis then a service will be required and any other worn parts replaced, fans, pressure switch, thermistors and safety stats are all parts that wear out after a few years, your oher option would be to replace your boiler with a new high efficiency boiler without a pilot, cheaper to run and better for the planet.

Combi worcester 240. Plenty of hot water when heating running bot only luke warm when heating off. The pin in diverter valve working fine and ive tested the switch and that is ok !! Anybody got any ideas....

what u need to do is let the flow and return pipes for the heating go cold they are normally the 22mm ones and if 1 gets warm when u run your hot tap then u need a new diverter valve. if they stay cold then u need to see if the boiler is igniting in hot water so turn off the heating and just run the hot tap to see if it ignites get back to me

Need to repressurise my worcester 28si combi boiler

most worcesters have n internal filling loop, depending on which one you have i.e CDi (left hand side, or Greenstar/ junior (high efficiency) right hand side, there ill be a void, the filling loops are black plastic with either a small grey or white knob, position your filling key pointing up, with the little noggins poiting at 3 and 9 o'clock, so it looks like your putting the key in on the wont almost. Push it up, and twist. (older worcester turn it 45 degress), newer worcester turn to the right slightly, you'll know if its in right because you cant turn it any further on the newer ones. turn the small knob anti-clockwise to let water in, unitl the reuired pressure is reached. Normally 1- 1.5bar is adequate. If you key isnt in right water will come out where the key is. So if it does it means the key isnt in right, dont panic, turn the knob off and try again. Once done, twist key back to its original position and pull out, youll probably gets a few drip out, this is normal.

Unforuntely not the most user friendly of devices if you dont know what your doing.

Good luck

Ariston combi boiler

sounds like your diverter valve is passing on the boiler, this diverts the heat either to the rads or to the taps, if its passing through the heating chanel it'll heat up the rads- may also be a scaled up secondary heat exchanger, hope this helps you
