Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Hello my lexmark 4750 is printing the test page, however when i try and print from an application it closes the application and says that the printer is offline. i am using a mac. my printer has been working fine since i bought it 5 months ago. though last month i replaced my hard drive and changed the operating system to "leopard". so i've had to revinstall the printer, do you think this could be the problem? would be most grateful for any help you can give regards peter

then at the botom of the screen you will see the file

SOURCE: lexmark 2500 series scanner problem

You need to initiate the scan from the pc not the printer
if you have macromedia fireworks or another visual editor it will work

also make sure you have all the proper drivers

SOURCE: Lexmark 2470 only prints 1 page out of 10 pages!!!!

You may have to change the communication format called the "Spool format."

Please follow the steps given below to change the spool data format:
1. Click on "Start," "Control Panel," "Hardware and Sound" and "Printers."
2. Then, right click on the Lexmark printer icon and left click "Properties."
3. Either on the "Advanced" tab or the "General" tab for some models, there is a "Print Processor" button, left click it.
4. This is the spool format setting. Under "Print processor" it should be set to "Lexmark 2400 series print processor." Next, under "Default datatype," select "NT EMF 1.008."
5. Click "OK" and exit back out to your desktop.
6. Please try printing again.
If this does not help the situation, please describe any differences it does make.

Try to re-seat the cartridges in the printer. Open the printer cover > remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick you printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in, and re-plug after 10 seconds. X204n lexmark,900 firmware error to continue,


The 900 error usually indicates a software or communications problem. The first thing to check is the base printer.


Turn off the printer and disconnect every cable, except for the power cord.

Turn on the printer and see if the error returns.

If the error does not return, try to print a test page from the Test Menu.

If the test page prints correctly, the printer's hardware is most likely working correctly. The source of the problem is probably outside the base printer.

My printer is not responding to when i ask to print something.


If the printer is not printing, check the cables connecting the printer and the computer. Make sure it is properly connected. Check the settings on your computer if printer is set as a default printer and try printing a test page from the driver page. To do this open printer and faxes, right click on the printer >properties and click the button print test page.

If you are able to print a test page, check the settings of your application and make that the correct printer is selected.

Not printing whole page


Could be as simply as the right print margin in the application you are using. Try printing a test page by right-clicking on the printer in Printers and Faxes in Control Panel and select Properties. If the test page prints ok then check the margins in the application you are using - usually File>Page Setup. The right margin could be set to 5.0 in instead of 0.5 in.

I bought a Dell inspiron - 1526 computer. It says my Lexmark P4350 printer is compatible. It shows it is installed with the driver on my hard drive. I can't get it to show up when I need to choose a...


First go to control panel, and see if you can print a test page from the printers list (Right click the printer, properties, print test page button)

If you can't print a self-test, the disconnect the printer, uninstall the drivers, reboot, download the latest driver from support.lexmark.com, connect printer when prompted during drive install.

If you can print a self-test, then right click the printer icon, and click set as default, then reopen you application and try printing again

Lexmark won't print


good day,

have you tried highlighting the entire content of the Yahoo! page before you select print? this may be an issue between the internet browser that you are using and your printer.

My printer doesn't print when I try to print a microsoft document. however the windows xp printer test page and lexmark test page both print


If you're using Windows XP, check to make sure that your Lexmark is selected as the default printer.

You can do that by clicking

  • Start -->
  • Settings --> Control Panel --> Printers
If the Lexmark has the checkmark, it is currently the default printer. This means that all applications should print to it.

If this isn't the issue, please respond with the model of your printer, and your operating system, as well as the application you are trying to print from that isn't working.
