9 times out of ten, this question will be asked by a kid trying to get around the v-chip his parents set. So forgive me if i'm not making this 100% easy for you. You're going to have to earn it. I'll tell you where to look, you handle the rest. It's in the manual. Now, if no one is watching over it, then I guess it serves them right. Open the manual to the contents page, and one of the references to the V chip there I promise will show you exactly how to override it. You can also find the manual on the internet. If you are a kid disobeying your parents, then I can only ask you to respect their wishes, or at least confront them and stand for what you believe is right. It's not dignified to go sneaking around, and then to go watch TV when no one is looking. Face your parents and tell them you think you are old enough, and ask to be explained why they think you can't make your own choices yet. Show them that you are resourcefull enough to learn how to unlock it on your own, and that you only ask them out of respect. Better do it now, and not when you're 30. ;] Good luck

Pioneer vsx 52

I am trying to work out which has got the high volume.
If it is the Pioneer then it could be the volume control chip that is faulty. These days volume is no longer determined by a control that adjusts the signal level. The signal is passed to a chip and the volume control setting information is also passed to the same chip. If the chip goes faulty then the volume will sometimes go to max, regardless of the volume control setting. This can also apply to the TV sound as well.
If the sound level is high on other functions of the receiver, such as the radio, then it is certain to be the sound volume control IC.

V-chip block passcode

Hello
You must have its original remote control handset to unlock your Mitsubishi tv.

After you set the lock, you must use your pass code

to view a locked program, view the locked TV, view

a locked channel, cancel the lock, or enter the Lock

menus.

If you forget your pass code, you can view the locked

TV without entering your pass code. When you are

prompted for your pass code, press the number 9 and

QV keys on the TV remote control at the same time. This

process temporarily unlocks the TV.

When entering the Lock menu, this process deletes

your old pass code and prompts you to enter a new

pass code.

• You can either enter a new pass code to open the

Lock menu and make changes or press EXIT to close

the menu.

• If any of the locks are turned on and you exit the

menus when prompted for a new code, the old

code and all lock settings are retained.

• If all locks are turned off and you exit the menus

when prompted for a new code, then the previous
code is erased.
OK.

Need owners manual to see how to fix a problem with the security system. The key has a chip and somehow it won't start the car Mechanic thinks it is in the security system related to the chip in the key...

The chip is part of the PASS-II security system. It is designed to prevent engine being started with another key. It is part of the security system. When you insert key and turn the ignition to the on or start position, does the security light in dash panel flash? Unfortunately, there is no way to by-pass or turn it off. Also, the key and chip must be completely dry and clean. Contact your nearest GM dealership or a locksmith who can service the PASS-II system to get a new key. I had a 1995 Buick Regal with the same problem. I had to get a new key from the dealership. Let me know if this works for you or not. Thanks.

2005 5.3L silverado wont start

Gm has several anti-theft systems. Nowadays the key does not have to have a chip in it. Your key passes through the Pass-lock system when you place it in the ignition. Hook a battery charger up to your battery. Then turn your key on and leave it sit for 25 - 30 minutes. Try starting your vehicle. If this simple reprogramming process does not fix the problem you will have to take your vehicle to a GM dealership which has a TECH 2 to solve this problem.

Ok..
Your vehicle is equipaded with Factory Anti Theft System.
Called Pass key II . If the mechanic found the Code
Pass key error....
Is there a few test to Do. to know exactly the problem.

1--- check if the Old and New key Are equipaded with a Little thing (Chip or Ressistence) in the center of the key.
If not you need a key with the chip. and the correct Ohms.

2. If you just replace the battery,
Full charge the battery Attemp to start the vehicle and leave the key in run position for exactly 11 Minutes, Them turn the key to off position for 30 seconds and try to start, if the vehicle start . you did the prosses to program the key.

If the vehicle not start.
Some times this procedure will require Up to 3 times to setup.
Or more with intervals of 30 minutes,, But if not start.
Remove the lower cover of the steering column. and the the Connector orange with 2 white wires shielded with a orange cover.
NOTE.. Be sure to not Confuse with the Yellow wires and connector, They are for the AIR BAG. Dont use a Convencinal Test light on any of the Mentionated wires....

After you find the wire and saw everything ok.

3-- You will need to remove the Ignition Lock cylinder.
The ignition lock cylinder is use 2 white wires shielded with orange cover, On 90% of the cases one of the wires come broken. and the ECM loss the comunication with the Chip incrusted in the key..
