Re: audio problems when playing a video

Tv cant cause this problem. It sounds like the capstan motor or the motor servo control or the pinch roller is going bad and worn. These models have a direct drive for the play so the belts not the problem as its only used for the ff and rewind. These sets are very compact and a bugger to open . There are no serviceable parts inside these tv combos so a cerified tech should check it for you, unless your aware of the HV safty factors as theres HV in these sets even when there unplugged. Good Luck

Broksonic combo tv remote powers tv on and off and menu appears but it will not accept video, rather spots it out automatically. I want to watch old videos , not tv.

Set the tv on A/V mode. And connect the composite audio video cable at the audio in and video in jacks at the back of the tv

if they are connected right and the tv on audio video mode and the automatic search doesn't work either then it needs to be serviced by technician

My daughter has been playing with the remote control on her Technika tv/DVD combo and now it will only play dvd's in black and white can anyone please help x

Hi, First check that the colour is set to about half way and that you can actually adjust it. Then check the colour system when playing a dvd, set it to PAL or NTSC or whatever the DVD recommends or in the menu. Is it still black n white when you watch just the Television programs?

Rca lcd tv with bulit in dvd have no sund only when dvd playing can it be fix

If you have sound when playing a dvd on the built in unit, problem is not likely anything bad in set.

Look to see if speakers set to off or some setting in the menu or audio menu, if using a box for signal it can cause this, set does not know if you are playing DVD or watching tv.

TV picture works fine. Not using the tuner. Only watching DVD's. Just got, as used. After just a couple of DVD's, the sound fails. Picture still playing, but sounds like a fax machine after...

DVD signal processor chip seems defective and dvd signal board replacement may cost more than tv worth. Local tv repair shop will replace dvd board if you still want to fix it.
Hope this will help.

Sansui TV/VCR 13" color

there is what is called a "dew sensor" in a lot of vcr's that keep you from playing a tape if it senses moisture in the unit because a tape will stick to the video head and get all bunged up. sometimes they go bad and will keep you from playing a tape even when there is no moisture present. if your are electronically inclined you can take the back off and locate the dew sensor, then disconnect it. the constant whirring noise is the unit's way of trying to dry off the video head cylinder. the dew sensor, which is usally located behind the video head, is a dark grey thing about a half inch by half inch and has two wires going to it.

External DVD won't play - no manual available anywhere

The tv has a set of imputs for audio and video ,there is a posibility your dvd is not working right, you can also try a vcr by using the rca audio and video outputs of the vcr to the rca audio and video imputs of the tv,that will tell you if the dvd is not working ,the tv should have a switch selector for video and antena or have a channel below 1 called aux.
