Question about Microsoft Windows Media Player
Media player has no sound, it plays videos, but with no sound, what can I do?
Do this in steps to insure you are trying the correct solution.
1st) Double Click on My Computer and Double Click on Control Panel.
2nd) Double Click on Sounds and Audio Devices.
3rd) Select Audio tab at the top of the dialog box.
4th) Select Sound playback "Volume button" to check if any options have the mute box checked and if so un-check the box.
This is where to start. after this is done go to the help of the Media player and determine the revision level and include that in the request information.
Good luck for a quick fix.
