I have tried numerous times to load PC suite on my computer but when I get to the point of connecting the phone to my pc it wont detect it and the problem comes up as USB Phone Parent is missing/cannot be found. I have tried the Nokia site and nothing has worked. I have tried reloading the software 3 times and connecting to a different usb port numerous times. I am going nuts!!!

Hi! Hope this makes your day feel good:) I understand that the windows phone device is not having trouble until you reset it. Now, the hint here is due to the device compatibility issues as the main cause. If you had happen to backed your device apps, contents, and settings you can simply restore it, but if twas not try to uninstall the application and drivers and reinstall it the way you reinstall at first. If necessary update your windows phone's operating system and make sure your PC operating system is working great also, I mean all USB drivers is installed. Other thing is, please try plugging your device to other USB ports to check if it supports fast USB bus speed (Version 2.0 - 3.0) or the native(windows) usb driver wasn't overridden by the windows mobile phone us driver.
I have got internet connection from my slide (EDGE). Nokia PC suite seems to offer such a connection via Bluetooth through my phone by calling it One Touch Access. Bluetooth connection is perfect, my phone alone connects to the internet but not my laptop through my phone. What needs to be done?
Have you installed usb drivers for your phone? or PC suite? For example: if you have NOKIA phone install Nokia pc suite. Also if you have SonyEricsson install SonyEricsson PC suite. This software comes with phone, it is written on CD of your phone.
to cennect to internet using mobile as a modem you need usb cable from your mobile to your computer and application of the mobile like nokia pc suite, once your mobile recognized by pc open the application (e.g. nokia pc suite) then select syncronized by select first the model of your mobile to be used as modem. then click syncronized and after syncronized select connect to internet.
The Simplest way is you should download and install the Nokia PC Suite and use the Internet Connection tab to connect to internet by connecting your phone. When u install the pc suite, it has all necessary drivers, it will automatically detect the modem and phone and it will also create the connection. U have to only choose the provider from the drop down list. (Ex. Reliance, Airtel, Aircel etc..)
to connect the mobile phone with the laptop you need a data cable ..and a driver to be installed so that the communication between the devices to be possible .. Usually the driver ( or software that contain it ) cames with the phone when you buy it ...so if you have it ..just insert the disk in the laptop ...and run the program ..and at one point will ask you to connect the mobile phone .. if you do not have the disk ..you need to download from the support site of the phone's manufacturer ...and install it after ..For well known brands...like Motorola...Nokia..Samsung ..there are available on the internet (google search ) programs called after case..connectivity suite ...or manager ..and they work for almost all phones in the brand that are capable to connect .. Another way to connect most phones these days with almost any laptop is via Bluetooth ..just open the bluetooth in the phone (make it available to be found) ..and after that open the bluetooth in the laptop and search for available devices..You will find the phone by its name or by the given name if you changed it ..After that just pair them and send files from one to the other .. Cause you did not specified the brand and model of the phone ...I can not provide any download link ...but I repeat ...If you search by the brand name ..and add the word support near it ..it usually connect you to the support site of the device manufacturer...and there you will find what you need ..driver or connectivity software ..
Dont worry all you need to is follow the following steps :

2.install the software for the cellphone in your computer as for NOKIA its NOKIA PC SUITE
3.turn on the wireless in your computer or connect the USB cable
4.for bluetooth connection only(go to bluetooth devices)
select add a wireless device
5.select your device
6.go with the Addition process and close the window
FOR USB CABLE CONNECTION
connect your phone to the PC and start working
You actually need 2 parts to the puzzle.

With this you can transfer files from your computer to your phone and vice-versa..There are two ways to connect your pc and your phone..First, is via usb data cable, data cable usually comes with your phone when you purchase it.. If there is none, purchase one that is compatible with phone and install the driver that comes with it.
