Question about Olympus FE-230 Digital Camera
My 1-year old Olympus FE-230 digital camera was working fine, and then all of a sudden red lines and blurr appeared across the screen. I sent it for a repair estimate and they said it needs a new sensor, which will cost aout $180 (I live overseas, prices are higher here). 3 questions: (1) is it necessarily the sensor? if so, can we 'reset' it somehow ourselves? (2) if it may be some other problem, what could it be and can we fix it ourselves somehow? (3) if it needs a new sensor, how much should it cose and where can we get a good price for repair; we could do this in the US, in a place near 90035 (LA), or 10463 (Bronx, NY).
Did you contact olympus?
try advance camera
buying a used fe-230 may be cheaper than to repair your current one, look around ebay
