How do I do that? This is not an easily navigated site, it automatically put that rating in and adding comments into these boxes is really wierd.

After threading the threads are still 4 staight threads, they are not knitting

is this a knitting machine or a serger?
if it's a serger try checking to see if the needles are in backwards
if they are in correctly then try some new needles

Can you please tell me how to set up my Janome 304D overlocker to roll hem?

try this solution

not exactly your serger model but technique will be very similar for rolled hem.

You need to set up a three thread overlock with the right hand needle, (take left needle out), and change the thread finger in the throat. Sometimes a switch to do this and sometimes it is a little piece on the foot that you change with a screwdriver.

Also, this solution is basic threading on 204D, it should be very similar to your model.

I have looked for a free download instruction manual for your machine without success. But you should be able to buy one from Janome or another of the online sewing sites like or

]ve a manual you can somtimes find them on the Janome websit
Here is a link to threading up for 334D

Help, Janome Ezy Lock 304D Overlocker!

Although the tension units on your machine are of a different configuration, always thread from the right spool first and then each one to the left.........ONLY in that sequence !

now take a look at this sewusa site for a better view of the actual routine through the thread I say, the tension units are different, but the sequence is the same, just use the image from above to see which one is next........this chart, just as the one on the fold down cover of your machine need to be followed one thread at a time from R to L

If you want any more help with this, just post back here, or, drop a line through the "Contact Us" page at
