Panasonic Stereo Colour TV - simple solution did not work

What do I now do? Or is it a waste of time and I ditch the TV?
Panasonic Stereo Colour TV Model TX - 76PW10A Has frequent intermittent problem of no sound. Typically takes multiple tries to get sound working. Sometimes nothing comes on. Sometimes sound will come on after say 20 minutes Once the sound went off while watching it

It is worth the effort.
If the set is 'dead', it is the easiest to repair.Only 'tampered' sets pose problems.
It could be a simple blown Fuse, or the Power Regulator IC.
This should not cost you more than $100-150 as Technician charges + 15-20$ for spares.
It could also be a defective Horizontal Outut Transistor and short cicuiterd FBT, (tho' it seems remote), but if yes, add another $100.
