The problem seems to be in the card not the camera ..... try formatting the card ...... also check whether the card is readable on the computer or no .... otherwise replace the card

Everytime i plug my camera in, an i/o error occurs. i have a fujifilm finepix z20fd

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

This Camera is the best. It takes high quality pictures and is so easy to work it has video, self timer, regular camera, and can change to b&w,sepia, negative, and many more! it has a very bright flash and is so thin its unbelieveable! and you wont ever have a problem with the lense gettin stuck because the lense dosent come out all you do is slide the front cover and its turned on!!! I LOVE IT!(They come in pink, blue, green, red, and black i believe)

I got a pink Fujifilm Finepix Z20fd and pictures won't download

You don't have to use the software that came with the Fujifilm. I have the same camera. If you're on a laptop that has a slot for SD cards, (if you have an SD card) you can just put your card straight into your computer and load the pictures that way. Also, if you have an SD card reader, you can use that. And if you're on a desktop without either of those options; once you plug your camera into your computer, go to your start menu and click 'My Computer,' then your camera should come up as a removable disk device in the folder. From there, you can drag and drop the pictures onto your desktop or your My Pictures folder.
