Re: can watch tv only at night

It sounds like your bulb or backlight circuit is defective? if your not a tech then this is not a repair an experimenter should try to handle UNLESS it states in the owners manual that a bulb is a user replaceable part. good luck

Dark over night

Does the TV have a light sensor? If so, turn it off.
The light sensor limits the backlights intensity at night or when it's dark in your room in order for better vieweing convenience.

If you are in a dark environment, it really pains your eyes when the view is too bright. Same works the other way around. If it's day, and light in your room. The light sensor will dimm the backlight for it isn't needed.

Let me know if this solved your question.

Blank Screen Problem

Does the menu come up? If it does, then, the source could be the problem, such as the cable or DVD player. If the source is not the issue, then, the problem would be in the Digital or Analog PCBs. If the menu does not come on, then, the problem is more than likely the DMD. If it is not the source then call a local authorized Samsung servicer in your area. Contact 1-800-Samsung. Hope this helps.

Black Screen

Ok, this is probably what has happened, you say that you have played games on your tv, well the thing is with HD and Plasma Screen tv's is that when you play Hi-Res games on them the games backdrop will burn itself into the screen, causing the screen to turn dark and not reveal the correct picture it should. People need to learn about this!!!!! Playing games on HD and Plasma tv's will screw up your resolution!!!
