Machine is printing but there

Machine is printing but there is no ink on the page. We have cleaned the nozzles and then deep cleaned the nozzles. Received as a gift so not sure how old. Wondering if the ink cartridge is dry. Would like additional information prior to purchasing new ink.
Canon PIXMA MP150
We have also aligned the fine cartridge.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ink cartridges were new and came with the printer. The ink cartridges were recognized as being full. they were detected correctly with no error messages. After shutting the system down and restarting the print is very faint. I appreciate your help!

is the ink cartridge new? what level of ink is remaining? did the printer detect the cartridges correctly? are there any error prompt?
