Runtime error and pictures with tear or broken image
While I'm in the organizer I constantly am getting runtime errors and am forced to close the program. This is VERY frustating. Also, while in the organizer, the pic will disappear and a box appears where the pic was with a tear thru it or a broken image.

When you exit Acrobat 7, Acrobat returns the error message,"the application is being terminated because of memory corruption."
Do one of the following solutions:
Solution 1: Install the Acrobat 7.0.8 update.
If you have Acrobat 7.0, choose Help > Check For Updates Now to install the update. Alternately, you can download the update from the Adobe website at www.adobe.com/downloads/ .
Solution 2: Remove the files from theAcrobat Organizer folder.
When you remove files from the Acrobat Organizer folder, you force Acrobat to rebuild the Organizer database. This process replaces any damaged files in the Organizer that may be causing the error message.
To remove the files from the Acrobat Organizer folder:
1.Choose Start > Run.
2.In the Open text box, type:%UserProfile%\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\7.0\Organizer70.
3.Delete or move all filesfrom this directory.
Solution3: Remove the files from the Updaterfolder.
You may receive this error message after a failed update, indicating that the files in the Updater folder are corrupted.
To remove the files from the Updater folder:
1. Choose Start > Run.
2. In the Open text box, type:%UserProfile%\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\7.0\Updater.
3. Delete or move all the files fromthis directory.
Possibly you may need to reinstall your program. Or you could go into your configuration settings and resetting your configuration to factory standards, then change one thing at a time in the configuration until you find the setting that is causing your operating system to act up.
I just recently install Window 7 ultimate on my computer and then Acrobat 8 Pro start acting up. Try to open PDF file it will open for a little while then this thing pop up said Microsoft visual C++ Runtime Library and Runtime Error. Then it shut down.
Anyone know how to solve this problems please help. Karoon Yip firstname.lastname@example.org
Does the Program issue you the name of the suspect runtime library at any point? If it does, go get the latest version of the runtime from the NET, in a searchengine type the name of the file+ext. download and then copy it in the same direrctory (folder) as the one on your system now.
NOTE: I would FIRST rename the one on your system as <currentfilename.current_extention>and then add .OLD to it.
My solution: I found another solution(workaround) instead of reinstalling the program: 1. Try to remember wich devices you used in de Photo explorer (USB-stick, external drive, DVD- CD-drive, or photo-camera connected by USB; 2. You can only start PEX(Photo Explorer) with a volume loaded in this devices! 3. if you don’t remember wich devices you used before, plug in a volume in every device your system has. 4. Start PEX. On my system it is then starting without error! 5. If PEX is normaly started: goto File/Preferences/ (or F6 key), take category Cache and under “History” clean all adresses and maps by clicking the button. 6. Close PEX. Remove all the volume’s you don’t need; 7. Restart PEX. Now the program will start without any error. 8. Advice: each time you use PEX with an external device do action 5. before closing the program.
