Question about Nikon COOLPIX L3 Digital Camera
When i open my camera lens error appear in the monitor and now the lens stuck.
I had the same problem that everyone has my L12 was dropped from about 3 feet. I went to get it looked at by a dealer and they said it would cost 180 bucks. They said it was not worth it. Ok this is what I did to fix it. Mind you it can be a little difficult for the not so tech savy. First remove the batteries, then take all the screws out on the outside of camera, dont forget about the 2 under the battery cover and the one in the AV port. Carefully use a small flat tip screwdriver to pry the two plastic covers off. The hard part is over, now pull up the LCD, it is stuck on by double face tape. There is a silver cover 3 more screws to remove. Ok now for the easy part. Where the screen attaches to the motherboard there is some black tape low and behold under it is a connector. On my camera it was not connected very good. I pushed it back on and put it all together and now it works. 180 bucks saved. Hope this helps.
