Question about Apple iPod touch

1 Answer

My iPod 8GB won't charge even though it's plugged in and I got a new charger, I got a wall charger, a car charger, and a new computer charger for it. All that comes up on the screen is a battery that shows a little piece of red blinking at the end. Underneath that is a lightning bolt. I would let it charge all night in the computer or the wall but it still doesn't charge. When I press the home button, a battery with a symbol that looks like when you have to plug it into the computer.Beside that is a lightning bolt.( That's when it's not charging.)

My Sansa c250 won't charge properly. Initially when I bought it, I used it with a Windows XP PC, no sweat. That computer died and I began charging it with an OSX instead. It worked for a while, but after a...

I had a similar problem. My Sansa c250 would charge, when plugged into the computer. It would read that it was writing but the computer did not recognized that the Sansa c250 was connected. I switched to a different USB port and got the same results. I then realized that the two ports I was using were 1.0 port and idmedeatly when inserted in the 2.0 port it began charging and the computer recongized the Sansa c250. I know this won't solve every charging problem one may have. Changing the battery would be easier in some cases. Especially if they were sold like the AA or AAA.

IPod Won't Charge

I am assuming that this is the First Gen iPod Touch. My friend had this problem and the way that I fixed it for him is to drain the battery completely, so that it won't turn on. (Even the display shouldn't turn on and say VERY LOW BATTERY with a charge icon).
Plug it into the WALL SOCKET and charge it for 24-48 hours.
If this doesn't work, then the battery is defect. If it is still in Warrenty. Visit the Genius Bar in any apple store and see what they can do
