What is the part on an air impact gun that an airline is connected to , and can it be replaced?

The image the link above shows an airline connector ******* directly into the airwrench. This isn't best practice.
Best results are obtained by fitting the largest diameter hose tail available for a large diameter hose and then fitting a yard of hose and then the airline connector.

My 3/4" ingersoll rand impact has little power how do i fix?

A very common problem with most impacts is the incorrect size of the air fittings and air hoses, follow the MFG'S suggestion located in the owner's manual. Most 3/4" impacts need a 1/2" i.d. hose with 1/2" series air couplers. All I.R. impacts have a screen on the inlet bushing that can become clogged with debris and will cause a low power condition, make sure it is clean. If the problem persists disassembly and inspection of the tool will be necessary. Most common problems are damaged / worn motor vanes, bearings, gaskets, seals, scarred endplates. Special note for IR261 the endplates along the edge have small plugs that can deteriorate cause an internal air leak causing low performance.

My 772h is running low power i pulled it apart and everything looks great a few light scatches in rear cyl .can i just polish it 320 grit or ??

you need a new rebuild kit with O rings and gaskets, take gun completely apart and make sure you get new air vanes too,the scratches dont make that much difference, but old seals will rob power from gun

Lack of power

the golden rule from i/r ,shinano, and all the air rattle gun manufacturers DONT USE WD 40 OR ANY OF PENATRINE TYPE PRODUCTS.for preference only use auto trnsmission oil if you arent prepared to buy air tool oil. If you brought the tool to me for a diagnosis and or repair,I would tell you that there is a small neoprene O/ring up in the trigger area that gets hard and starts to break up,giving those exact symptoms. those kero based products spoken about, exacebate the problem and often are the cause of the O/ring be coming hard in the first recommendation is to take it an airtool service centre ,it wont cost all that much(australia about $75 give or take) I agree with the dog ,good tools are worth looking after. No offence meant, just many years of experience

Air Wrench Question

An impact wrench works in the manner suggested by the name of the tool: through the principle of impact. In order to understand how an electrical or air-powered impact wrench works, it helps to know first how a manually powered impact wrench operates. A manually powered impact wrench looks like a fat screwdriver; on the end where the screwdriver blade normally goes, you can snap on screwdriver bits or sockets.
