If does not say Vista in the specs, it may not work. You can install it and then right click on the game's icon, click on properties, the click on the Compatability tab. Check mark the box "Run this program in compatability mode", then in the box, down arrow and select XP.. Click ok and try the game.
Good luck,
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

HI-

Yes, chances are you can't install it on a windows vista Operating system, suggesting to check website of the game and look for updates if there are any that will make it run with vista. look for a patch or update for it.

Hope this helps

Its dvd rw segarome and wont let me install the game. I have a acer 5920 and i installed the original just fine but the old version doesn't work. Its almost like there is nothing in the disk.

It usually wont work to install from a burned disc you need the original disc to install than you can run the game off the back up disc. you should check your EULA to make sure that you are authorized to make a copy of the disc however.

I can not install Boggle on a Vista system

You could try to rightclick the setup.exe, select properties, go to compatibility and run it in Win95 compatibility. You can also try to make a shortcut to the game, then doing the above. There could also be a map called DIrectX on the disk. Try opening the executable in there, install DirectX, then try the game again.
Otherwise you're out of luck. Microsoft doesn't support old games, gets you to buy new ones. I don't like it either, but there's nothing you can do about it but switch back to Win95

I have a new computer with Windows Vista. I have

No it looks like they stopped the support at the old one, this means they did'nt make any drivers for the old one to function on vista.
Vista uses a very diferent driver model than xp does.
The drivers for xp won't work in any way on vista.

Running metal fatigue in 32 bit vista with a dual core machine?

i have this exact same problem, the in game side bar is glitched to the point of uselessness, making the game unplayable. i also have windows vista on a dual core machine. nothing i have tried works. rocksten, it would be helpful if you clarified what you ment by "reinstall it using winrar". do you mean running the installation file off the cd using the winrar application? how would this help a problem that is aparently vista having issues rendering certain in game graphics?

this appears to be quite a common problem with metal fatigue and vista, ive seen only one claim that the game would run without this issue.

the only valid solution i have come across is to install microsoft virtual pc and use it to run a pre xp copy of windows, as metal fatigue will aparently not run under xp either. i have not tried this but it should work. here is a youtube link with an excelent guide on how to get virtual pc running - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LZwXCQ71to

this problem is still open, if anyone comes across a better fix please post it. it should be solvable, the game actually runs under vista, just with certain essential UI elements glitched out or invisible.

Cannot install it correctly to windows vista laptop

Haha. Not laughing at you.

If you try to play games that old on a new OS like Vista, it won't go. You would have to try to run the game in compatability mode. Which means when you ry to install the game, right click and propeties and check the tabs out.

I tried playing a game from the 90's too, on my computer with Windows Xp, and it did the same thing. I tried lots of stuff, but then I just didn't have time to mess around with it so I left it.

What I'm trying to say is, that Vista is too ahead for the game software. And vise versa. The game code is too old for Vista. Vista would have to downgrade to play the game and that could bring some problems. The computer prosseser would have to work harder and that could cause the game to lag and even the whole computer to lag. LAAAAAG real bad.

Anyways, keep trying and hope this helps.

Vista OS

It does not work with vista at least not for me. And besides with XP and Vista you shouldn't have to install it anyway as both OS's have a feature called plug and play which means that when you plug it in via a USB port Windows Xp automatically recognize it and its driver. Thats one thing about XP thats so great XP just about recognizes every joystick and game pad driver there is without installing the pads software.
