That is the key which was set in the router's wireless.
Go to 192.168.1.1 in your browser, Internet Explorer, and a login window should show up.
In the password box type in admin (that is the default password for the router, if it has been changed, you would have to put that password in)

Once you log into the router's setup page, go to the wireless tab, then to security. There you will see the security key. On this page you can change it if you wish. But remember to write it down and keep it in a safe place for future reference.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

What is the wep password

The encryption key secures your data from unauthorized access.
The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router'swireless settings configured ie SSID, WPA or WPA2 encryption key and also thewireless cards in all the laptops and or computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktop computers cancommunicate with your wireless router.

To secure the wireless network or to change any settings on the router you will need to access the router set up interface.
Open the set up interface of the router . Make sure that your computer will be connected to the router with the Ethernet cable.

Once you open the set up page of the router , you will find the place to change the wireless settings of the router. In case of Linksys wireless router , you will see the Wireless Tab at the top.

SSID : It is the name of the wireless network. This name will be shown on your wireless computer or the wireless device so that you can identify your own wireless network. Security Keys or Passphrase

  1. Now we will secure you wireless connection to prevent others from connecting. Under the Home tab, click the Wireless option from the left.
  2. Beside the SSID option, enter the name for your wireless network connection.
  3. Beside Security, select WPA. If you can’t connect using WPA, then select WEP. Using WPA will provide a much more secure connection that using WEP. For more information about WEP and WPA please read Wireless Security: WEP and WPA.
  4. Click AES beside the Cypher Type.
  5. Make sure PSK is selected beside PSK/EAP.
  6. Now you must get very creative. Specify a long Passphrase with a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers and punctuation. Once again, please read Creating Secure Passwords for tips on how to do this. In this case the longer the better. Make sure you write down this key somewhere, either on a piece of paper or in a text document on your computer. You will need this information when you connect to your wireless network.
  7. Enter your passphrase next to Passphrase and again beside Confirmed Passphrase.
  8. Click Apply to save your security settings.
  9. Now you are all done securing your wireless router and network. All you need to do is connect to your network, and enter your Passphrase exactly as you specified it. I won’t go into detail on how to connect to your wireless network, as I will save that for another post.
