Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have 5520-5912 acer aspire

Kindly let me know if you recently did this and saved nothing of much worth to your c drive after that. 1. Just go to add remove programs and uninstall any program for your web cam.
2. let the acer auto PnP search for the best driver on restart or else if you have CD then install it from the CD. If this does not works then follow the last resort.
just restart your pc and continue hitting F8 once you get the choices option select boot through last good known....

Acer Aspire - Crystal Eye Webcam won't record video

Update the drivers. The Crystal Eye is not the best camera out there. I have had to update mine 7 times and only owned it for 3 months

Ive heard about this problem several times... Most people said the solution was to remove all the photos from the webcam, and move them to a different folder, IE) "My Photos"

Cannot find the icon or whatever in order to use the crystal eye

Right click on an open space of your desktop. Select New>Shortcut.

When the Create Shortcut window comes up, click Browse.

Double-click "Computer".

Double-click "Acer (C:)" or your C: drive. It may not be named Acer.

Double-click "Program Files".

Double-click "Acer Crystal Eye webcam".

Click "Acer Crystal Eye webcam" next to the small icon. (NOTE: Do not select the one that just says "Crystal Eye". It is only an icon, not the program.)

Click OK.

Back at the Create Shortcut window, click Next.

Type in whatever name you want to give, or leave the default as is.

Click Finish.

Icon appears on desktop. Double-click the icon to begin the program.
