Check or change the water filter, leading into the machine.
If that is not the problem ,disconnect the water lone from the machine and see if their is sufficient flow comming through the line.

Ice cubes are too thin. Making on time, but no volume due to small cubes. What part will correct this?

Well this thing is made to make ice cubes so if the ice cube are to small thin then you water supply must be restricted because its cold enough to make the ice just the volume of water isn't their .Check the feed system for restrictions .

Water leaking from connection leading in to inlet valve on SubZero 245RFD undercounted refrigerator. Unit has not been turned on for a while so it's not an issue of freeze up. Turned off due to not ma

Hello Mary;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.
You probably have a stuck spool or a plugged screen in your single solenoid water valve as a result of not running the unit.
You must also be careful, plastic tubing over time exposed to the normal heat that comes off the compressor, will dry out become brittle and crack. This is the tubing from the ice maker solenoid to your ice maker water feed tube, will one day need to be replaced.
I suspect your ice maker is fine. Lets check it out. I have faith that you can do this. Without unplugging you unit, Remove the white square cover on the front of your ice maker. This cover pops off. There are no screws or retainers. You may need a small flat head screw driver (or butter knife) to wedge the cover off.
After the cover is off, you will see what is called the ice maker motor module. In the center of the module is a small white gear. You will see several small holes. At the 5:00 position you will see 2 holes. One hole is marked 'T' and the other hole is marked 'H'.
We are going to force start the ice maker by jumping it. So, we need a jumper.
Make a jumper - obtain a 3" long piece of either 12 or 14 gauge wire. Strip 1/2" off each end to show bare wire. Form this wire into a horse shoe shape. Perhaps your local hard ware store can help you make one.
Now, put one end of the wire into the 'V' hole and one end into the 'H' hole. The white gear will start to turn. After about 3 seconds remove the jumper wire. At this time your ice maker is cycling. There are fingers that rotate and discharge the ice cubes from the ice cube mold. When these fingers reach the 12:00 position your water valve opens. I suspect you will not hear the normal water flow into your ice maker and you will leak water at the valve.
Therefore if the ice maker cycles (No water fill) and the water valve leaks - bad water valve.
I am limited on the length of my response to questions. Post question. Let us change the water valve. The water valve over the internet is about $25.00.

Not making ice fast enough

Good day,
Assuming the cubes it's making are the proper size, the speed the ice maker produces ice is determined by the temperature in the freezer.
When the ice maker harvests a batch of ice, an electric heater heats up the whole ice maker.
There is a thermostat embedded in the ice maker. It must cool back down to approx. 12 degrees before making the next batch. The colder the freezer compartment, the faster the cycles.

If the cubes are too small then that is usually caused by a blockage in the water filter if your unit has one, or the water valve that feeds water to the ice maker is getting weak, or lastly the water supply to the machine has become partially restricted.

On extremely rare occasions the thermostat built into the ice maker goes out of calibration which can cause a delay in cycling and requires the ice maker to be replaced. But again, it is a very rare occurrence.

The Ice maker has stopped working.

There are usually 2 small solenoid valves that are used to control water. Both are generally installed at the rear close to the bottom of the fridge. One of the solenoids controls the water flow for drinks and the other is to control water flow to the ice maker. You can determine which is which by tracing the water supply tubes from the freezer compartment to the solenoid or by process of elimination. The latter method requires that you feel for movement (clicking) or heat on the water dispenser solenoid while someone starts to fill a glass with water from the fridge.

Before going any further, make sure that the ice cube detection arm in the freezer is not up. Gently push the arm down if it is. When ice cubes are ready, the ice maker turns on a small heater to break the bond of the ice cubes to the cube mold. The arm is lifted up and out of the way. Then the mechanical fingers wipe or push on the cubes to dislodge them from the ice cube mold and they fall into the container. The arm is then lowered again and rests on top of the ice collected in the container. The position of the arm when resting on the ice cubes determines whether or not any more ice cubes are made.

If the arm is hanging down, then ice cube production should be on. The problem may be either a faulty solenoid valve (mentioned above), switch in the ice maker assembly - the detection arm in particular or wiring between.

Water works on door but ice maker isn't making ice occasionally hear noise like trying to dump ice cubes but no ice

the water valve located on the back of the refrigerator that the water line is connected to could be bad. if no water is coming to the ice maker then it shouldn't have any ice or water in the ice mold. if it is empty you can try pouring enough water in the mold to make ice cubes. wait an hour or so and see if the ice maker dumps the ice. if it does you probably have a bad water valve.

if your ice maker has ice in it but had been making small cubes you should check to make sure you don't have a jam. small cubes could be from low water pressure or a blockage. if your refrigerator has a water filter it may be time to replace it if the water dispenser water pressure is also low.
