Bought compatible cheaper ink and the printer keeps saying not recognised ,any way round it

The chips on the cartridges, should be resetter to full. The newer Epson chips can't get a reset, so I would bring (or send) the bad ones back and ask for new ones.
Also make sure the contacts on the chip and in the pronter are clean and shiny.

Labels are jammed in the laserjet 4200n. they came off the sheet and i cant get them out.

You've got big problems.
You need a tech to take the printer apart.
There is no way that you can get all the labels out without dismantling.
You were using tray 1 to print the labels!!!
If you were using tray 1 then most likely the label sheets are bad.
If you were using tray 2, then you caused the problem.
Good Luck

How to set printer HP 4200 for printing lables

You shouldn't really have to do much. Just change the paper tray setting to labels of the appropriate size. It should prompt you to be sure it's right when you put the paper tray back in. Just make sure the labels you use are rated for use in a laser printer. Ink jet labels will come off and wrap around the fuser and ruin it. about a $300 repair.

I had the same problem. It was solved once I bought an original color cartridge. Refilled cartridge seems not to work on this printer. Glad if it might help.

HP 4200 10.0000 supply memory error

It appears that the printer is having problems reading the e-label on the print cartridge. Remove and reinstall the print cartridge, then press the Select button. That should clear the problem.
