Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I can't see anything..

When i turn it on i can't see anything the screen is black but if i look really closely i do see something..i tired to find something on the menu but since i can't see anything i don't even know where to go. i took it to best buy and they told me i might have to buy a new LCD and replace it. i don't know where to get them and i was wondering if there's another possible reason why it happened.
please help..

My screen works but is very dark, I've had this camera repaired before for problems with the circuitry and now its no longer covered by the warranty, these cameras are just not good quality for the 300+ dollars you pay for it... I asked for a quote and they expect it would be over 100 dollars to repair and certainly not worth it

There is another reason but its worse...
it might be some of the circuitry is screwed up!
its hard to find an LCD screen because:
1. all electronics generally have different LCD screens
2. suppliers tend not to sell individual screens
its probably easier to take it to a repair shop.

Television stuck on black philips screen will not do anything except flash off and back on to same black philips screen.

Sounds like the media/main board is going out. You can change those out really easy with just a screw driver.
Check ebay with your part number off the board. Start with you tv model number and the the BOARD part number. Alot of board look alike but there aren't.
Also..
shopjimmy.com is a good place.
Good Luck.

WOBBLY WHEEL ON A HONDA

sound like you have tire out of balance or possibley a bent rim. i would jack the passenger side up grabbed the tire and see if it wobbles, if not then you have something wrong with the tire i would also turn the tire and look to see if you see any metal on the inside of the tire and feel for large knots. these factors will make the vehicle ride really rough let me know how this works out for you..

My laptop screen is black, no light or picture at all. I can use an external moitor but the laptop monitor show s no form of life. Would this be my Inverter, my monitor/screen or something else.

First of all do you see anything on the screen, but really really dark, or is it pitch black. If you see something but it is black, then it is your screen backlit bulb and needs to be replaced. If it is just pitch black and nothing, then it mostly your inverter or a loose connection between your base to your screen since laptop tends to open and close alot.

The lights are on screen is black

When you first turn on your computer, do you see anything on the screen? Perhaps, something in the corner of the screen telling you to press F1,F12 or something like that. If so, go in to start-up and see if it will give the option to "start with last known good configuration", if so press the # and enter, See if the computer will boot then, if not do the process over and press "start in safe mode" and if this works you probably have a virus. Please contact me here or e-mail me at cliffjones1059@yahoo.com. I will explain more>
