3 years ago I bought a house with the Simon 3 in place last month the battery dyed unpluged it cause it kept saying "battery low" and would not let me sleep. A week later I replaced the battery, it now askes me to disarm it I did not get codes or instructions from previous owner it was a foreclosure deal. What do I do
Thanks for the tip Jane Deaux. Unfortunately it didn't work for me, but perhaps it will work for litaliano.
Any other default Access codes to try and/or other methods to reset the system to a factory default. I noticed that there are some jumper pins as well as what appears to be some other connection interface (10 pin header I believe.) Is there some way to utilize the jumper pins to reset the system?

-   I have a very similar problem. I posted a new problem with the title
"New home, existing alarm system, no information as to what the current access code is."
I didn't see your post before I posted mine. It sounds like a single solution would work for both of our situations.

On Simon panels, the master code should default to 1234 if it's been powered down for several hours (I can't remember how long, at least four hours, possibly 12-16). So, unplug it from the wall and disconnect the system battery and leave it for the night. Power it up by plugging in the battery first and plug it into the wall. Then enter the code as 1234. It should annouce that the alarm system is disarmed. If so, your code is 1234. ;)
When removing the battery, be very careful to not break the little tab that holds it shut! Can't stress that enough.

I have had a working GE Simon 3 for a couple of years. After a recent house remodel, I noticed that the alarm speaker on the panel has been disconnected from the circuit board. There are two possible pairs of pins on the board that the speaker could connect to. When looking at opened panel, there is a pair of pins at roughly 11 o'clock from the speaker, and a pair at roughly 10 o'clock from the speaker. Which of these should I connect the speaker to? Thanks.

My new GE Simon is programmed and ready to go but even though it says doors and windows are armed. Nothing happens when I open the doors and windows in armed mode. No sound, no alarm. I know the sound works becuase when I try to access the panel without an access code it trps the alarm. Also, key chain fobs fail after a few hours. They work fine then lose the code. Batteries have been replaced.
