Question about Casio Exilim EXZ75 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Not powering on

I charged the battery fine, its not a problem with the battery, its not the way i have it in, im not dumb :P.

But, when i press the power button, a green light blinks and does nothing, however if i hold down the power button, then it will go to a screen that says adjust and i cant use the keypad, because it doesnt respond.

i was wondering if anyone knew if there was a settings "reset" button on the camera, or if not, maybe how to fix the problem.

The manual indicates that the green light flashing once indicates that the camera is powering down.
http://www.manualnguide.com/dl/6597/ (see page 218 lamp indications)

The first thing you can try is to turn off the camera, remove the battery, remove the memory card. Hold for one minute , pop the battery in(but not the memory card) turn on the camera by pressing the power on buttn and holding it for 15 seconds. This will not only reset the camera but also force the motor to retrace/extend the lens if it is a lens related issue that is causing the camera to shut down.

SOURCE: battery will not hold a charge.

Casio says:

Red blinking light = defective battery

No flashing light = possible defective charger.

What you can do is send all your stuff into casio and they will test everything for you and see what they could replace for you.

SOURCE: casio Exilim EX-S770

Hey I just tried the banging solution to my EX S770 and it really worked. I did not use the compressed air blow part but I did bang the camera on the bottom on the granite counter top and it working fine. Thanks!

SOURCE: casio Exilim battery won't charge

Casio batteries have a issue and are very weak you should not let it get below 5% when it is this low the camera will come on say battery is low and turn off. if it remains this or lower the battery can go out the good thing is you can get them really cheap off ebay.
