Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
I've had the same problem and was wondering if you could e-mail me and tell me what you did to fix this problem with the wireless card or software not working properly. I have quoted the problem you had posted below, it's the same problem I've got. Thank You!!!
Please send me the e-mail to: email@example.com
I have the same problem, with Pavilion DV9000 (9400us)
I uninstalled driver then reinstalled, updated bios and I also did the full system restore to factory original default, and I still have the problem, I contacted HP and they said I should send them the laptop but I just came to Finland for 6 months for my work and now I dont know what to do as I do need this PC for my work and I do need wireless network too.
ANY FIX guys?
First, check if the Wireless Adapter is being listed in the Device Manager or not.
Follow the steps listed below to check it :
Click the Start Menu and in the Search pane, type Device Manager and click on the optio that is displayed among the results.
This will open the Device Manager in a new window.
In this, click on the + mark next to Network Adapters and check if there is any entry related to the Wireless Card is displayed.
If any, try uninstalling and reinstalling it.
Hoewever, if there is no Wireless Card entry listed under Network Adapters, check if there are any Unknown devices listed.
If nothing are present, the issue can be either with the Wireless card or with the Slot on the Motherboard in which the Wireless Card is inserted into.
The Notebook need to be repaired.
Additionally, I would like to inform you that HP had identified some hardware issues with few Notebooks installed with AMD Processors and is providing free repairs for notebooks purchased and currently available in US and Canada.
You need to get the Product Number of the Notebook which is indicated with P/N and is printed on a white sticker pasted at the bottom of the Notebook.
Check if the Product Number of your Notebook is listed in the list available in the link below :
If your Notebook product Number is listed in the link provided above and if the Notebook is installed with AMD Processor, you need to contact HP Chat Support and provide the required details and get the Notebook repaired by HP for free.
You can find more information about this repair offered by HP from the link below :
Hope this helps...
