Question about Continental Refrigerators
My freezer part freezes and no cold air goes into the refrigerator part. I have to take the back off of the inside of the freezer on the inside and defrost the coils and the air holes that lead to the fridge. This happens about once a week. Do I need to buy a new one or can this be fixed?
This could be caused by one of three things. Either you have a bad defrost timer or a bad defrost element, or bad wiring related to those two. Unhook the two leads to the defrost element and check the resistance of the element. If it is open, replace the element. If it reads resistance, replace the defrost timer.
