Re: tv plays only 60 seconds and shuts off

You have with this set whats know as a regulator problem. Since there are no user serviceable parts in this set im sorry to say your gonna have to take this set into be serviced unless you under stand television circuits. You will need a service manual and a good multi meter and monitor the output from the regulator IC . If it fluctuates all over the place replace it. If it dosent then its in the regulator driver circuit. Good Luck

When i turn the tv on it would be on for 5 seconds then it would shut off how could i fix it

This is typical with many sets when it goes old as there is a high possibility that the components over a period of heating and cooling , tend to bring on a problem of dry soldering. So my advice is to check the set for some loose joints that have played on to give you these erratic shut downs.

Remove main plug, the covers - with caution of high voltage, check for dry joints, use a good soldering iron to solder all suspected points. Please find below a link for tips on solderings

VCR plays 15 seconds, TV shuts off. Same without tape inserted

Sounds like a typical Switched Mode Power Supply fault, or an internal thermal fault that is shutting down the power supply, over & over. Really you need to get it serviced. You need to get a firm "Quote" for repair, remember these days repair can often exceed replacement cost.

I have a Panasonic Omnivision with no remote. I am trying to get to the main menu on the TV. Please help!!

Manually turn the TV on with front panel Power button. Then, with no cassette inserted, hold Play and Rewind buttons on front of the TV for 5 seconds or more. The TV should shut off. Turn it back on and go through the setup procedure

Tv turns on but will not play tape that is in the machine. after

some times you can hit the power and eject button about the same time and it will eject the tape try this a couple of times to see what happens if that does not work then you can take the back off after you unplug from outlet for ac there is a belt that is black that should look like a long ruberband turn the pullys one way or the other to eject the tape manualy.

Set up for cable

You might be able to restore the factory settings by pressing "play" and "FF" simultaneously and hoding them down until the set shuts off (about 5 seconds). Then when you turn it back on it will lead you through the setup routine, which includes auto channel select.

Plan B would be to buy a universal remote.

VHS problem, any help?

It sounds to me like you have a problem with the reel sensors not detecting movement of the tape through the VCR. This could also be caused by a defective voltage regulator(s) that powers the sensors. This model was made by symphonic/funai (1-800-242-7158), and it is not likely worth repairing.

In RCA T13208 13 in. TV/VCR Combo shut down after turn it on

The safety circuit is sensing a problem and is why it will not let the tv stay on,the cause could be a problem on the mechanics of the vcr,you need to get an estimate to see if it is worth the repair and might be able to keep using just the tv.
