You're not locked out. You need to follow the friends for updates to your facebook. Go to your friends list. When you hover on a listing with the mouse point a pop-up will appear. Click on Follow to start seeing their posts. Repeat for all the friends to see updates.
When you hover your cursor over their name a menu will appear. Move your cursor over where it says Friends and another menu will appear. At the bottom of the menu that appears, left click on Unfriend. Or go to their facebook wall\ You will see their profile picture and name. To the right of that you will see FRIENDS in a box and then MESSAGE in a box shared with GIVE GIFT and the icon for account settings.
Hover over Friends or click it and you will see a menu with Unfriend at the bottom of the list click the Unfriend
go onto their profile. There should be box under the part that says wall. Type your comment here and push enter. When ever you see other comments and want to also comment there should be a small rectangular box were you can type, leave your comment and push enter

If you want to hide your friend's list to some of your friends, 1.click ACCOUNT on the upper right hand corner of your facebook screen (signed in) 2. Choose Privacy Settings. 3. Click FRIENDS, TAGS and CONNECTIONS. 4. First in the list is FRIENDS. On the right side, there is drop down that will say everyone, friends of friends, only friends and customize. Click on CUSTOMIZE. 5. You will see HIDE THIS FROM, enter the name of your friends who you don't want to see your friends list. 6. Click save settings.
If you want to see how these friends of yours see your profile, Click on PREVIEW MY PROFILE, enter their name and you will see what they can view in your profile.
Log into facebook and follow this instructions. Now you need to select the photo you wish to tag. Do this by clicking on 'Profile', then clicking on 'Photos'. This will bring you to any pictures albums you have uploaded. Click on the album that contains your picture. Finally click on your picture. Click on the 'Tag Photo' link which appears beneath the picture on the right. This will bring up the options to tag your picture. Use your mouse to click on a person's face.
A box will appear around where you clicked. You can adjust the size of the box or the location with your mouse. When you view this picture later, if you hover your mouse over this area of the picture, the name of the person tagged will appear.
Your list of friends will appear on the left. Select the name of the person you wish to tag the area of the picture from your list of friends or enter in a new name if that person does not have a Facebook account. Then click 'Tag'. Repeat this process for each person you wish to tag, then Click 'Done Tagging'
I am assuming that this person is already on your friends list. You can email (more private) by clicking on the second icon after the logo on the top right (when you mouse over it says "messages"). Click on "send a new message" link. A modal will open. Enter the name of the person and enter your message. You can also go to this person's profile and write on his/her wall (field on top of the center column) and click share when done (please note that this will be a public message). Or click under their profile picture the link: Send 'name' a message. Hope that helps
While your account is unconfirmed, you will not be able to send messages, write on your friends’ Walls, post in discussions, poke, tag your friends in photos or notes, comment on content, join groups, or fan Pages. This limit is in place due to security reasons.
