Question about Canon PowerShot A75 Digital Camera
WHEN I TURN ON MY CAMERA THE LENS ON THE FRONT DOES NOT OPEN SO THAT I CAN SEE THE IMAGES THAT I AM TRYING TO SHOOT. EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS ON THE CAMERA EXCECPT THAT. for these type of problems battery has no role to play in it. it is a problem in camera. the camera lens system must have got damaged. else the settings in camera must have got changed.

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...
Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

First try pressing the DISPLAY button. If that doesn't fix it then this sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
