Try changing channels on your wireless router. Routers have configuration page where you can change the channel. Refer to your user manual on how to change the channel on the device.

You may also try moving the router to a different location or maybe on a higher location. To avoid interference.

Bad xbox 360 connection

You have two options to improve connectivity:

1) Move your XBox closer to the router. If you are connecting wirelessly, move your XBox as close as possible to your router. The farther away they are, the slower your connection speed.

2) Purchase an ethernet cable and plug it in. An ethernet cable can connect to your router and be plugged into the back of your XBox. This is the best way to utilize as much juice as possible from your router and get you the connection speeds you need to play online. Ethernet cables run about $20 depending on the length and quality, but its a great investment if you are doing a lot of online gaming.

Hope that helps!

I have a Zyzel nbg416n wireless router. Ive had it for 5 days and its constantly dropping the connection. Connection via an ethernet cable is fine, it's just the wireless aspect. The connection...

Wireless routers do what is called signal shifting. This means as the signal gets weaker (either because of distance or because it has to pass through walls, strong electrical fields etc) the speed is automatically dropped to as low as 6mbps. All the obstacles will kill your signal very quickly as well. You can try moving your router to a better location or invest in a repeater to place between your wireless router and the computer.

You actually don't need a setup disk for setting up a router. Try the following steps.
  1. Reset your router to default configurations by holding the reset button for 15 seconds.
  2. Make sure your desktop is set to "obtain an ip address automatically."
  3. Connect an ethernet cable between your router and desktop.
This should get you connected to the router. If you want to make any configuration changes, perform the following steps.
  1. Open up a web browser.
  2. Type in the address bar 192.168.1.1 (Default IP address of Linksys routers)
This will connect you to the router.
  3. It will prompt you to login. The default username is blank (no text at all) and the password is admin.

I have connection problem,,the connection go evry 10 minutes,,i change the router and the same problem,,the light of internet shut down evry 8..10..15 minutes

You can try reset the router if you are using one by pressing the reset button on the back or bottom of the router which might be in a little hole in which case you will need a pen or paper clip or something. If the issue persists, restart your modem, get a solid state and restart your router, get a solid status and restart your computer is necessary. You can check the settings of your router and see whether it is using DHCP, make sure your computer is not running a DHCP server kind of application. You might also need to contact your ISP and make sure your account and their connections are fine. Sometimes it may happen for high volume of users or some firmware installation on your modem.
