Our printer was working great and then when I went to use it one time the sizes offered are incorrect and I can't get back to the way it was. We have tried to reset the pronter and it doesn't work
When I put in the size I get options like Hagaki,2Lsize, L sizeA4, B5,.

    Hi

My printer has the same problem, was working fine until today when I noticed it was not possible to select the correct paper sizes, instead getting Hagaki, L, 2L etc. A while ago it also set itself to what i presume was japanese, i managed to reset the language but the paper sizes have obviously been affected as well. Does anyone know how to reset it or will it have to go back to canon?

    Thanks

It sounds like your english but it the logic board has changed settings back to japan, where the machine was made, you need to get into service mode and reset it back to english which a canon dealer engineer will be able to do for you.

if you are from the uk. i have few contacts that will help you.

I cannot get an E-size plot to print properly. I have no trouble with plotting D-size drawings. What are the correct settings to use to print E-size sheets?

Printing high quality photos using an inkjet printer is not only possible, but affordable too. Top notch quality relies on a few factors: the right paper, the right ink and the right settings. Read on to find out how to print photos with an inkjet printer.

1.Use a good digital camera. For 4x6 and 8x10 prints, you will want a camera with at least two or three megapixels.

2.Buy photo paper. Spend the extra few dollars to get high-gloss photo paper that is designed for your printer.

3.Use photo ink. High quality photos take high quality ink. Do not use the same ink that you use for documents.

4.Optimize your settings. Select "File > Print" then click "Properties" and find the preferences or quality tab. Set the quality to the highest or choose a photo preset.

5.Edit photos on your computer. Import your photos from a CD or your digital camera. See your camera's manual to find out how.

6.Crop and resize. Cut out anything extra in the background that you do not want and resize the picture so it will fit on the page.

How do i go about printing different size of photos? they are all different sizes.

There are two basic ways to change the print size of your photos/documents.

1. You can go to file/print or you can press cntrl + p on your keyboard. the print menu will come up. go to properties/features. when it opens, look for resizing options. Under resizing options you will see print at actual size and scale to paper size. Select scale to paper size and list box will activated. Select the paper size to scale to from the list. If you are not familiar with paper sizes then this list introduction should do. The conventional official paper size is A4, half of that is A5, and half of that is A6.

2. other procedure is to right click on the photo/image and select print. a print wizard will pop up. it will ask you to chose size of images.

Good luck,

Ryan

How do I change photo print size ? How big a photo print can I make ?

you can print up to size of the paper you have.

A selection of photo sizes should pop up when you use the windows photo viewer and choose 'print'. You could print 5"x7" prints or 8"x10" prints of the same file, for example.

Also, if you have a the right software, you can print poster size prints that are a combination of 8-1/2" x 11" pieces of paper.

This doesn't come standard with windows, though.

Printer problem

From the Printers & Faxes window, check in the i9950 Printing Preferences, Page Setup tab, for the following settings:

Page Size and Printer Paper Size are both set for the same size (both A4 or both A3).
Printing Type is set for Normal-size Printing

The graphic on the left should now show A4 (or A3) and Normal-size Printing in the legend.

Once that is set, verify from the application you're printing from that these settings are not being changed by the application (Preferences button in the print dialog box).

Printing an envelope in cs3 on an epson stylus photo r1800

You can try using Microsoft word in printing on envelopes, it is easier. On my MS word>tools>letters and mailings>envelopes and labels>click on feed and use the fourth from the left option.
Load the envelope at the right side of the printer> the envelope flap should be on the left facing the printer.
