Everything on my monitor is turned side ways! It happened when I went to pick up the keyboard while it was standing on the floor leaning against a table.I touched something on the key board that made the picture on my monitor turn upside down. After trying various things I got it turned sideways and that's it don't know what else to do.
Please can you help me? Rach

On my HP monitor on the stand, I have a locking mechanism that doesn't allow the display to be raised. I need to press a button on the stand while pushing down the display, then the button is possible to be pressed down. then while holding it down, I can pull the display upwards as much as it comes.
the stand locks in my case when pushed all the way in.
Sounds like the monitor is not getting a signal from the tower.
Do you have another monitor/LCD screen that you plug into your tower? That will tell you if the LCD is the issue or the tower.
If it is the tower that is at fault, then you need to try and figure out if your video is separate from your motherboard. Hopefully it is separate, that way you can get that replaced.
If not, then it means that your video card is integrated onto your motherboard which is much expensive to get fixed.
Hope this helps.
Keep the stand on floor as such the arrow is pointing towards you....
Place your palm in the lower rear side of the monitor.
Align the monitor upon the stand and press the monitor firmly, using your palm... You should press somewhat firmly to fix it... All the Best...
easy way to find out go to bestbuy and purchase a video card and install it if everything works out its the video card if not then its the monitor that went bad if its still under warranty send it back and get a replacement,
SleepSleep is a mode that the computer enters after being inactive for a set amount of time. Commonly, this mode will turn off a device or set it into a stand-by
No data is lost when computer components enter a low-power mode, ... keyboard would get the computer out of this mode. Also see: Power Definitions, Sleep
This should wake your computer, Good Luck/Please dont for get to Vote.Thank you.
Solution, replace monitor with a new one.
I have found, at my shop, that getting parts for these things can be pricey and by the time I charge labor as well, could just buy a new one.
Probably a bad internal power supply or the inverter that powers the bulb(s) went out, which is sometimes built in with the power supply itself. If, and I stress IF, the parts are available, be prepared to pay more than its worth.
Pick up a new one, shop around on different brands. Some manufacturers offer 3 year warranties. ;)
