Re: I turn my computer off and back on i hear the music...
Try and do a XP repair: Boot the PC with a Win XP cd.
When you boot with the Win XP install CD-ROM, it loads a minimal operating system, similar to DOS, but compatible with Win XP. At the first screen you select install Win XP (not Recovery Console) and at the next screen it will find that you already have Win XP and offer to attempt a repair. This repair should not touch your applications, it just reinstalls the Windows files. This is great because when it works you don't need to reinstall all your software. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe

Im not sure if this will help u but check ur Remote's power botton.
Maybe its stuck?
It happened to me before... Was wondering y it turns itself on/off and found out later that the power botton on remote is stuck.
U should hear the clicking sound everytime u turn it on or off.
Otherwise... something else is wrong with the power switch on ur remote.
This problem is likely caused by overheating. The CPU reaches a temp to high and shuts the system down. When you try to turn it on the system is still to hot and it will not let the computer power on. You can try blowing out the fans and heat sink with an air compressor or can of compressed air. If this does not help the problem you may need to have thermal compound reapplied. If that does not fix it it will need a new heatsink/fan/
Very likely your firmware is corrupt. The only solution at this point would probably, and I say that b/c this is troublshooting in a posting forum, be to reformat the device. After that, the firmware would need to be reloaded. Hopefully you have backed up your vids , pics and music.
honestly mate, i wouldn't even bother.the same thing happened to me, with the multi coloured strips and all, but with the strips i just pressed the scrrn and they didnt show, a week later the screen when black just like yours, but the music was still playing. But as you said, aslong as it plays music who cares. i know this isnt really a suggestion on who to wix it, but if it is still in the warrenty i'd take it back to the store you brought it from and get them to replace it(hopefully all the music you had on it is on you computer) hope that helped
try hitting the reset button on the back of the device. you might also have the hold or lock button on. look at the sides of your devise and if you see any orange then slide the bar down until the whole side is black. If you have any more questions email me at Starburstman6@gmail.com
The 2 extra wires will most probably be temperature sensors.
If your using the onboard video, then make sure you have memory in the first DIMM slot (it will say DIMM1 beside it)
If that dosn't solve the problem then try these:
Remove the memory and reseat it. Make sure to put it back in the correct way. There is a notch towards one end that will match the notch of the memory slot. Press it in until the 2 clips lock fully, then give it a gentle wiggle side to side while pushing down still.
Listen to the beeps your computer makes when starting up. A single short beep is what you want to hear. If you hear. If you hear something else then post back what it does. There are long and short beeps that could be involved.
Disconnect all the IDE cables from the back of the drives. You can leave the power cables connected. When they go back in they also have a notch and can only go in one way.
Try those for a start and post any progress you make. Also just double check the video cable is correctly attached at both ends to the computer and to the monitor.
Well that is quite problem. I'd go to the samsung website. Get their help line. Then call them and explain to them the problem, in my box i read a peice of paper that says bring the broken product back to us. And "us" was samsung. That's all i have to say. GOOD LUCK!
