My bunn pot leaks when I put water in tank

  • psmallwood Oct 24, 2008

My pot is also leaking - it seems to be getting worse daily.

Ditto...I have the same problem it IS getting worse every day!

    Sad :o(

Our Bunn coffee maker drips water for quite some time after the coffee is made and after we remove the coffee filter. It eventually stops dripping, but many times will drip right when we pick up the carafe to pour a cup.

Most likely this is leaking out of the plastic tray where you pour the water in. this can be replaced, but you will have to call your local Bunn repair shop to see if they have a used one there, because Bunn will not ship parts for the home brewers. If you are within your warranty period of three years, give Bunn a call at 1-800-263-2256 and ask forwarranty department.

This unit is under three years old, so phone Bunn (you can get the number for customer support from www.bunn.com). They should replace this unit for you under warranty.

Bunn coffee brewer leaking

Is this a lot of water, or just a small amount.

As the unit sits over time and runs heating cycles, it may have some vapor come out of the vents. That will cool and collect around the unit.

try turning the unit off for the weekends. If you still have water around the unit, then it may have a leak in the tank.

Bunn coffee maker leaks water

There are 3 seals in your unit that could cause your problem. there is a silicon seal right under the pour-in tray, and two on the top of the tank. one of those is for the thermostat, the other is for the sprayhead tube. any of these could leak, causing water to come out the bottom of the brewer. One other thing that can cause this is a scale buildup between the pour-in tray and the tank.
