Plasma Television Connection

I have:
1 - Daewoo Plasma TV/Monitor
1 - Bose 1-2-3 Surround Sound
1 - Kenwood DVD - CD-R/WR 5-Disc Changer / DV 705
1 - Insight/Comcast Cable Box

So far, I have Movie and Audio going from my DVD player through my Bose Speakers and showing on the TV... and evidently, it appears I have Cable connectivity...the box is showing I have a message like my other operating cable box...However, I cannot get the Cable to show or operate on the TV/Monitor.

Can anyone help?...please

Thanks

Hmm a bit...complicated but if they all use HDMI then one cord is all you need going to the tv from the bose sound system while any other HDMI connection should directly go into the bose sound system or if the dvd player uses RCA then RCA sound should go to the sound system and video directly to the tv

Discplayerwontplay open or rotate

You will need to take off the surround metal and look down into the disc changer. There are gears mixed with small belt drives that are used to open and rotate the disc changer. If the teeth of the gear or the rubberbands are snapped this will cause the player to not work properly.

Please accept if this helpful.

Thank you

How do i hook up the dvd player to the t.v?

It's quite straight forward, you wiill need a Scart connector. Then connect one end into the rear scart socket of the DVD & the other end into the scart 1 socket of the TV again at the rear. When you play a DVD just select the AV (1) input on the TV. On some TV's AV can also be identified as Aux.

I HAVE A SONY 5 DISC DVD SURROUND SOUND THEATER SYSTEM. I'M TRYING TO CONNECT IT TO MY TV BUT I DON'T GET ANY SOUND BUT GREAT PICTURE.

Not really enough info here to help much yet.

Helpful info would be:

1.Are you hooking up coax or optical surround from the DVD and have you set the amp to look at the correct type of input?
2. I could be much more specific with help if knew the model number of the surround system and DVD changer.

I ahve a plasma t.v and a bose surround with dvd steroe and other stuff i want to connect a playstation and a surround to the the t.v i connected the playstation to the surround as aux i hear sound cant...

This all depends on what Bose system it is.. I'm assuming it's a Lifestyle system of some kind. Regardless, you could just run video from the PS3 (HDMI or other) to the TV, and keep the audio going to the Bose. Use optical if you want digital 5.1.

BOSE 38-WHITE BACK:ERROR 801-LOUD SCRITCHING NOISE AFTER SHUT OFF

Hello any cable or satelite tv show is now more comonly in high definition sound and video! and the techs are wrong because their are plenty of movies on tv including news channels that broadcast in surround sound ,but in order to get that surround sound you must either have a connection from the tv,s audio out or you can also out put the sound from the cable or satelite box out to your bose system as as the scritching sound where does it only happen when in surround mode or stereo mode ? if you play a dvd or cd does it still make noise? and can you be more specific on your terminology SCRITCHING not really shure what you mean by that word! thank you glenn mayer

Hooking up surround sound

to get the digital you have to have the digital optical line or the coax rca jack digital audio connection from device to stereo reciever to get the dolby digital surround sound to work , otherwise you can only get a virtual surround sound from the reciever( no dolby digital )

Re: Kenwood DV 605 CD Player... Power On: Reads "Loading." All 5 CD lights are lit up but the CD changer does not turn. CD #1 appears on screen with two green lights appearing.

ace71cf.jpg We repaired this problem by taking the advice of another member of FixYa! The component had recently been packed to be shipped. After unpacking the unit when we powered up the read out only displayed "LOADING" and the CD changer door would not open. We removed the exterior cover and gently moved the CD changer one position. When it locked back into position we powered up and the unit works fine now. FixYa sure help me save perhaps a $100. or more by not sending it to the manufacturer or another shop. And it was working within minutes so we could enjoy using it right away. Thanks guys I very much will recommend this sevice to others... this was the 2nd problem we fixed that day by logging onto FixYa!!!

Tray will not open on my dv-605

Solution: Unplug power from wall. (Don't just turn off!) Next: Remove exterior case. Now gently turn the CD changer clockwise one position. Power up and try again.

I had this same problem after unit appeared to have froze up when unpacked from a shipping box. The CD changer had got off track and by gently moving the CD changer 1 position it fixed the problem. Works fine now.

Best of luck,

Surround Sound using the video feature

You will not get 'surround sound' from this set only stereo sound. The Video/Aux jack at the back of the unit is an input terminal. You can connect the audio part of your TV(if it has a Line Out jack), dvd player or video game console to this input to get the sound through the stereo system. Use a male-to-male RCA cable to make the connection, they are color coded (Red and White). Press the "Video/Aux"  button to select the input terminal.
