Are you saying the input for the rf dosent work?? Have you tryed the video input?? Do you get any picture on the tv at all, i.e. a blank screen, lines white screen, ect, ect. Cable jack dosent work???? Ok I think I know what you mean, but PLEASE in the future dont make me quess ?? Give as much info as possible if you want help?? Pleasse?? It sounds like the typicale RCA tuner problem as RCA's have been having this problem since they went over to canada ( and no insult to the kanooks LOL) No really since RCA was bought by Thompson corp they have been having problems with their on board tuners and the tuner sheilds. Almost every set sold in the past have had this problem and to this date. Im not sure who they paid off not to have a class action law suit against them?? Its a commonm problem that will cost you abot 75 to 150.00 Bucks to have fixed once and for all. .BUT IF YOUR NOT A TECH!!!!! do not attemt this repair as it will kick you in the butt as these sets as well as all tvs hold a very high voltage charge that will kill ya if you dont know where or what your doing!! Good Luck

My polaroid fxm-1911c picture is distorted, sound distorted with loud buzzing when I try to utilize the tv signal input jack, also the dvd player doesn't work

Looks like there are some partial defects in the TV and might need attention of a qualified service technician. Anyhow, make sure that the input cable, RC jacks and sockets all do not have any loose contacts. Go through settings and ensure that every set up is as it should be.

Loose jack connection to speaker

It sounds like you need to get a new jack socket and replace it. It could be just a soldering problem. Especially if you have removed the plug a lot in the past.

How do you hook up asamson concert 77 wireless system to speakers

Hi,

No that doesn't work because the headphone jack on your receiver is a output. You need a input like the AUX, so you need a adaptor from jack to cinch.

Jbl roxy over ear headphones ref 430 need to install new cord. how do i open cans?

Hello.
Headphone speakers stop functioning properly when the wireconnections to the speaker are broken. This problem often develops when theheadphone cord gets jerked while being worn. The solder connection might alsodetach over time if it was not properly manufactured. The wire can bereconnected to the speaker with a soldering iron to repair the headphone. Beaware, though, that headphones are not designed to be user maintained in thisfashion. In some cases, it is difficult to get to the speaker due to the casingdesign.
Instructions and tools needed
Screwdriver or butter knife (depending on headphone design),Soldering iron, Electrical solder
1 Plug in the solderingiron. It takes a few minutes for it to get warm enough to be used.
2 Unscrew the screws holdingthe headphone casing over the speakers. This step applies only to models thatuse screws in the casing.
3 Insert the end of the butterknife into the seam on the headphone ear pieces. Pry the two halves of thecasing apart. This step is performed only on headphone models that do not usescrews in the casing.
4 Touch the tip of thesoldering iron to the electrical solder. A small drop should melt onto the tipof the iron.
5 Touch the tip of the soldering iron to the end of thedetached speaker wire inside the headphone speaker cavity. Try to get an evencoating of solder around the exposed metal end of the wire. The soldersolidifies on the wire once the soldering iron is removed.
6 Touch the end of the wire tothe solder on the metal tab attached to the speaker.
7 Touch the tip of the solderingiron to where the wire and tab connect. The heat of the soldering iron meltsthe solder on the wire and tab together. This repairs the broken connectionbetween the wire and speaker.
8 Replace the speaker casingonto the headphone. It should snap back into place for models without screws Thanks.

You've to replace the ac adapter, if it's brick doesn't get warm or LED does not glow on Power Jack on the laptop. offcourse, check with the wall different sockets

power jack can also be loose. so jiggle the cable to find out.

if notebook is getting power, you can remove the battery, ac adapter, hold and keeep pressing poer button for a minute, then, turn it on.

finally, you can take out hdd and ram, put them back again and turn on the laptop. hope it will help

How do I fix the plastic jack inside the speaker? It seems loose, yet it connects fine, but still doesn't work. The wiring is fine.

Open the speaker and either secure the jack or replace it if it is broken... common problem when cables get tripped over.

Handset doesn't have dial tone. says check TEL line.

For this type of problem, you need to isolate the issue. It could be the phone, the inside wiring, or the outside wiring. I like to use an old rotary phone for testing but any basic corded phone should work. Get a new RJ-11 phone cable as well.

Unplug the base unit and plug in the test phone to that jack. Check if you get a dial tone. (Try a new cable if the initial one doesn't work.) If your test phone has a dial tone, then the problem is isolated to the cordless phone. (If the test phone works with the new cable, do check if Uniden works with that cable.) Modern phones are not designed to be fixed by the consumer. If the phone is under warranty, contact Uniden Customer Service. (Otherwise decide if the costs are worthwhile for you; there will be a significant delay before the phone is returned/replaced.)

If you do not get the dial tone, you need to track down the wiring issue. Next move to another jack on the phone line and check if there is a dial tone on your test phone. If there is a dial tone, you have isolated the problem to the jack or the wiring to the jack.

If there is still no dial tone, find where your telephone service comes in to your building. If you can, open the box. Determine the type of connection used there. If you are lucky, you will find a RJ-11 jack for your phone line. Plug in your test phone and check for a dial tone. If there is no dial tone, contact your telephone provider. They will fix this outside problem for free.

If the connection is not a RJ-11 jack, you will need to call the telephone company so that they can determine if the problem is inside or outside.

If you do have a dial tone, then the problem is with the inside wiring. Inspect the visible wires for damage. Open the faceplates for the jacks and check for loose wires. There are two types of connectors. Screw type connectors need the wire stripped back a little then wrap around the screw and tighten. The other type is a punchdown jack. To repair a loose wire in this, you will need a punchdown tool. These are often available in hardware/home improvement stores in the wiring section. http://www.lanshack.com/wire_phone_jack.aspx has clear pictures of the wire color to pin pattern.

You may want a professional to check the wires inside the walls. Your telephone provider will do this for a fee.

I hope this helps.

Where do I connect the audio cable ? It doesn't seem to fit into the digital audio hole.

In the green jack usually. If it doesn't fit, you have the wrong jack, and you probably need an adapter.
