I got an i pot touch 8gb and i want to sync music from windows media player and windows media player wont recognise the i pod i think i tunes is really hard to use buy when i plug my other i pods up to the computer it is no problem to put music on then
I have an iPod touch 8gb too and I was like the same way but what you need is to get iTunes.
Your iPod won't sync any songs unless you get iTunes. Don't worry though because when u get
iTunes, it'll automatically transfer all your songs onto iTunes.
Ipods are only designed for itunes so windows shouldn't recognise media player, any way, the new software for ipod touches is greater, meaning your computer/windows media player wont recognise it, only itunes will.

Go to "My Computer" and click on the V-Touch (named Removable Hardware) and open the "Music" folder. Click on one song you want to play or highlight multiple songs that you want to play click open and they should open in Windows Media Player, if its your defalt music player.
1...You must download and install Windows Media Player 11 on your computer. NOTE...Some older MP3 players will not work with Windows Media Player 11 or Windows 7 with Windows Media Player 11. If this happens to you, then you will have to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 and install Windows Media Player 10. 2...After you have downloaded and installed Media Player on your computer. 3...Open Media Player on your computer. 4...Install all your music into Media Player that you want to install on your MP3 player. 5...Plug in your MP3 player to the computer using your Data/Sync cord, be sure that Windows Media Player is on. 6...Media player should recognize the MP3 player and sync with it. 7...After it is sync'ed with the computer, you can add the music you have installed into Windows Media Player to your MP3 Player. I think you may have some how deleted you itunes library file. It's default location is: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl the file is called "iTunes Library.itl" You can delete the whole itunes file but all of you music may be deleted. Good luck and i hope this somehow helps. Jaxon
your computer has its own personal i-tunes for your i-pod and all your music is saved to that computer so if you plug your i-pod into someone elses computer it will eighther sync all thier music to your i-pod or it will erase all the music on your i-pod they dont have on thier computer...my sujjestion is to buy a plug in to the wall charger for your i-pod if your barely home to charge it. that way you keep your music yet charge your i-pod to.
