REMOTE CONTROL DOESNT WORK

I have a blue flame heater (vanguard WP060W36M) with remote control. I have put new batteries in both the remote and receiving / sender unit. The unit will not not activate at the remote setting. It was working fine last year.

Do you have a solution?
Thanks

Some of the remotes that originally came with those units did not work or last very long. The manufacturer then later offered another remote to replace the first units. It looks like the model number you provided is a serial number, not the actual model number. I suggest that you contact Master Parts at 800-446-1446 with your model number (you should be able to find it directly on your unit with the serial number you provided) and they should have that replacement available for purchase. You also can find them on-line at www.masterparts.net. I hope this helps you!

I have a vanguard ventless heater model UP308TA and when you push the pilot on and push the ignitor in it just sparks and will not light, gas is on and new batteries have been installed, suggestions?

First, can you smell gas when you push for the pilot? If yes, look at the tube where the pilot gas comes out. Sometimes there is a small hole or 2 in the tube before the opening where the gas comes out. This is to allow air to mix with the gas. They sometimes become plugged with lint or dust. Check for this and let me know what you find.

Change from natural gas to propane

You could do it but it would be very expensive. You would need to change the ODS pilot and the gas valve itself. I am not sure even then it would work correctly. These are not conversion ready.

Vanguard blue heater

When installing these units there should be at least 36" clearance on the top, 8" clearance on sides, and 3" from the floor. If you have another question you can go to www.nbmc.com. I hope this helps!
