I downloaded a CD and tried to synch it. The Sansa player does not show the CD as being there. My computer shows that it was downloaded and is in my library. When I look at my Sansa library on my computer it shows the CD in question as being there, but when you go to find it directly on the Sansa it is not there. I cannot get this CD to synch onto the Sansa.
Change the Rip settings in Windows Media Player to convert the CD to mp3 format and then re-synch it - it will work. WMP probably synched it as a raw CDA, which the Sansa cannot recognize.

When you attach your Connect via USB to your computer, verify that the Connect is displayed as a "portable media player" under "My Computer" in Windows Explorer.
If it isn't ... try a different USB port. The Connect requires a high-power USB port, which is typically found on the back panel of your computer.
If this doesn't work, try the Connect on another computer (just verify that it shows up under "My Computer", as I mentioned). If it does, you may have a problem with the installation of WMP on your computer ... try re-installing WMP, and make sure you install the latest version of WMP. If the Connect isn't recognized on the other computer, it's possible that there is a problem with the USB cable - get a replacement.
Try downloading the MEDIA MONKEY. Its better than windows media player and itune. It automatically detects any mp3 players and you can synch your e280 without any problem. Whether you are using vista or xp the media monkey is way better than windows media player.
