I have the same problem. Bought a new Millermatic 180 autoset. will not feed. I called Miller. They told me to jump the eletrodes with a wire where the gun connects and nothing. They told me to open the otherside to check the connections. I didn't do it because of the warranty issue.

I have checked a number of blogs and this seems to be a common problem. They should recall them.

If your welder is less than 3 years old your local Miller authorized service center will repair it for FREE. They can also check the serial number of your welder over the phone to see if it is still in warranty. For goodness sake DON'T tell them you've been mucking around inside the welder or they won't be able to help you.
That said, if the welder spins the feed wheels without any wire between them it probably isn't the board. There is the switch in the gun, the board, and the motor and brake assembly all needed to feed the wire.

Check for binding int he inner sleeve first, then increase tension as long as feed motor spins. If feed motor does not spin check wiring to make sure it is connected correctly.

Depends on the application and type of wire you are using. If you are using flux cored wire you want Co2. If you are using mig wire 75/25 blend (Argon/Co2) would be my choice. Your wire should also give you a recommendation of which type to use.

Millermatic 140 w/ auto set powers on but will not feed wire or arc

If its a new unit its probably nothing. Miller makes good stuff. Open the side so you can see the spool. With the machine on, press the trigger for a second. Did the little wheel spin (trying to feed the wire) if it did then your problem could be kinked wire, **** on tip, or spring on small spool is loose and wire is slipping. Let me know.

I have a Miller 130xp set up for .035 wire. I

It's called the fire feed wheel. They sometimes come in sets but, running .035, you probably have one grooved and one flat. Any welding supply that handles Miller welders should have them or be able to get them.

Spool wire starts to melt while on the spool

1] Switch off the mains power, remove the torch from the machine, ther should be a button or switch on the unit to feed the wire, push or switch these and observe that the wire feeds and dose not heat up, if ok then you have a short in the torch, a new torch assembly is required,if the wire heats up with the torch removed, the wire spool is shorting out, remove the spool and check wiring in and around the feed motor, if you can't see anything check for a voltage from a good earth and on the rollers, if you have a voltage then the motor is faulty.(earthing out) a P.A.T test should show exactly where this is.

Renegase 180

This fault is typical in most MIG/MAG Units. the feed roller/s need slackening off, pull the trigger so the rollers spin wire the wire not moving, turn the tensioning 1 turn check to see if the wire feeds, if not give a half turn on the tentioner repeat this half turn untill the wire feeds, bend the wire to the torch and pull the trigger, If the wire feeds then thats the correct setting. be awear of all safety rules. use gloves
