Akai LCT2785TA Won't Turn On

It's worth a shot.First I would open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items on the boards.If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out,they need to be replaced.Then you can get the stuff you need to replace the bad capacitors.This should get it working again.If it is anything else,you will have to buy some equipment like a multimeter to test the components,and find which ones are bad.As far as what you need,it all depends on how much you want to get into this,and,or other electronics.You would need a soldering iron,solder,solder braid,and a desoldering bulb/plunger to get started.I hope this helps.If you have any questions,please let me know.Thank You very much!
