My paypal account

I forgot my paypal password so i was sent an email to reset the password. but when i try to enter my full card number its not accepting it. it has space for 18 digits which 2 is already there but my card number is 19 digits long and i dont know what to do with it. i cant reset my password if it wont accept my account number the end 2 digits which paypal has provided of my account number are correct so i know it is my account number. can you help me please as i cant buy anything online without this

How do I get a new password?

A If you forgot your password, you can create a new password. Here's how:

1. Go to the PayPal website.
2. Click the Home tab at the top of the page.
3. Click password under the Log In button.
4. Enter your PayPal email address.
5. Enter the security code by typing the letters and numbers shown, without spaces.
6. Click Continue.


You can change your password or security questions from your profile. Here's how:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click the My Account tab.
3. Click Profile at the top of the page.
4. Click Password in the Account Information column.
5. Select either Password or Security Question.

it doesn't ask for credit card number make sure you're logging at www.paypal.com and not somebody else's web site you might be a victim on phished websites.

I forgot my paypal login email and password


You can retrieve or change your PayPal email address if you can confirm the following account information:
  • your name
  • your ZIP code
  • your phone number
  • your credit card number
Here's how:
  1. Go to the PayPal website.

  3. Select I don't know what email address I used and follow the prompted instructions.

Password forgot


Fixya has not sent an email asking you to reset your PayPal password. To reset your Paypal password you should visit the Paypal help center which has all the info you need to reset your forgotten password.

How can I reset my password, when I can't answer the security questions, and the bank card on my account has now changed and doesn't match?

Cant get password for original account

Change my reference credit card on pay pal


As per Paypal:
Question : Can I register a credit card on more than one PayPal account?
Answer : No. For your security, you can register a credit card on just one PayPal account at a time. You may, however, register several different credit cards on a single PayPal account.

If your credit card was registered to a different PayPal account, you need to log in to the previous account and remove the card before adding it to your new account. To remove credit cards from your account click Profile at the top of the page and click the Credit/Debit Cards link in the Financial Information column.
Question : What if I forgot my email address?

  2. Click I don’t know what email address I used.
  3. Enter up to 3 email addresses you might have used to sign up for your PayPal account.
